Is this a sign I need to buy one :-)

these things seems cheap when you look at rare Porsche prices and now only the super rich can get into a GT Porsche.

very tempting to buy the green one for sale. what were they new £180k ?

any one know this car ?

This car was on sale here privately for 115k ... for about 6 hours ... i assume bought buy the current seller with a decent mark up. Even with the dealers margin it still looks good value.
Looking at one of these next year or either a lhd lp640 depending on a test drive.
I think this is the best colour for a lp570 and the current pic was my wallpaper for a bit.
If i could of part exed my current gallardo with the original seller at the time i would of bought it pending inspection. Have enjoyed reading your contributions on the Porsche forum over the years...... You thinking of Lambo ownership? - I have been really impressed with the build quality / reliability of my car (06 spyder) so would assume these 2010 plus cars are very well built.
Hope not too many people start craving these and drive the price up!

I just say it how I see it, it upsets some of the Porsche guys, but Porsche has lost it's way imo
The good cars are very limited number and prices just double, the newer cars are very mainstream now and porsche want to build 200,000 cars a year. Nothing very exciting going on in Porsche land ATM.

So where does one look ?
I do like the newer r8 v10plus but it has no drama and inside is very A3, but the plus is crazy fast and ofcourse has the dsg.
With price drops on one year old car run at £45k they seem good value at £89k.

And then I see lp560-4 at that price all very tempting and more drama exciting .
But then think the superlggera the better future buy, just that more outlay to start.

Bargain supercar at the moment IMHO and the LP570-4 will be the one to have in the future so residuals will be strong again all IMHO but then some say I'm biased.
Trying to balance that view up by also buying a 430 Scuderia and having 2 fantastic super rare and collectable cars.
1 for posing and 1 for driving and you never know maybe some capital appreciation longer term. Either way its certainly better than losing min £20k pa on a new supercar

Lovely SL in at HR Owen London. Had a peek last weekend, they'd just got it in. Not normally a Gallardo fan but stopped in to have a look at this one - I'd happily 'ave it.

Only Gen2 Superleggeras up for sale at the moment though. It's the rarer Gen1s that will be the collectible version in coming years (I might be slightly biased wink)

David, the Gallardo feels like a completely different car to the R8. So much more drama and much more rewarding. Worth a look for sure if you are thinking of selling your Porsches and trying something different.

Yes really loving it. Like you said when we last met up, the R8 wasn't really enough of an event, the Superleggera certainly is.

IMO with the carbon bucket seats the Superleggera (Gen1 or Gen2) has one of the best interiors of any car in this segment/price range.

Do it! I've had a couple Porsches over the years and they've all been great. The last one I had was a 997.2 Turbo with PDK which was mental. Loved the speed but there was just no noise! So i ended up buying a LP570 and I haven't looked back. It’s not had a single problem, build quality is very good I would say definitely on par with Porsche (and miles ahead of Ferrari, not that that's particularly difficult...)

Superleggera is great fun and I love the ridiculous styling, that being said a LP560 is still brilliant and even the earlier cars are good to. I think they're absolutely great, usable cars, I used my Superleggera as a daily for a while.

If you can, make the jump. You won't be disappointed

Today I thought f430 again, a bit cheaper and seem good value.

But the 570-4 has the mega looks

Are you happy with e gear, and does any one know much about e gear and dates it got better ?
Or is the 560-4 the turning point on the egear for better shifts ?

That's the only thing putting me off atm.

Another to market ....

Wish I could make my mind up.

the e-gear's been a bit of a work in progress for years

i believe that much of the hardware is common to the ferrari f1, it's all down to software and calibration

mine's had a few routine calibrations and software upgrades, which have helped

you also learn to drive around its weaknesses and relish those life-affirming downchanges

The best thing to do is probably have a test drive and see how you find it. After all what might be perfectly fine for me might be unacceptable for you.

In my opinion the e-gear is perfectly good. Is it as good as a double clutch box? No, but I can honestly say I haven't particularly missed it. I had the PDK in my 911 turbo and it was super smooth/quick etc. The Lambo, like all single clutch gearboxes requires a bit more practice, but once you've driven it for a while you soon learn to lift off slightly between changes which smoothes it out. Overall I think it's a very good gearbox and it's never been an issue whilst I've had the car.

Gallardo came out 03-04, car was updated in 06 and the gearbox was one of the things they upgraded (quick shift times etc). LP560 came out around 08 from memory and the gearbox was updated again. (Again quicker shift times etc)

If you've got any more questions feel free to ask
