I've mentioned this in threads before, and haven't really been able to satisfy myself that this will work.

So here's a couple of pics of speed humps I need to navigate on a regular basis and would do so if I got a Gallardo, will it work.....

I should add in real life to my eyes at least they look a LOT worse!

Cheers

For some reason I can't add the second pic despite them both only being 200kb...in this one you'll see there's another similar one to one side of it....

Maybe OP is referring the the raised area to the right of the yellow line usually used by cyclists

If so he should be told that however much they annoy you you should not really go after them with your Gallardo

No problems, even without lifting gear.

Haha, don't worry, even though they're four wheel drive I have no intention of going off road!

The second pic, the 'pillow' type they're on both sides of the road so you can't avoid them. It's been implied to me that the full width ones need to be taken at an angle, almost going sideways over them?

I'm assuming it isn't as bad as say the 'perishable' piece on a 997.1 GT3 front spoiler?

some of the speed humps can catch you out ...... however if you have lifting gear (mine did) you can pretty much treat it like any normal car..

i was thinking of something a little more specific on the basis that you probably aren't far from an owner who could maybe make a minor detour sometime ( as long as it doesn't involve stoke on trent, obviously ! )

Well if it was he could kill two birds with one stone. So to speak.

As above, easy peasy lemon squeezy even without axle lift. The Gallardo looks lower than it actually is. I parked my old F430 spider next to the Performante and was amazed that the F430 was lower when I measured it

Not too long ago a mate was crawling over such bumps in a gt3 rs at funny angles.. I just drove straight over, slowly, without lifting gear... With lifting gear you can actually go over them quite fast!

I had to laugh, I did consider adding if anyone was local & they'd consider a detour it would be much appreciated, but having dipped into the Stoke thread felt it best not to!

Interesting, the F430 was of course the alternative. Though the Lambo is ahead

Thanks. Lifting gear is definitely my preference. Talking of extras is anyone aware of a resource for what was standard/what was extra on say 2006-2008 models? And if they effect values much?

No problems with speed bumps, even without lifting gear, they have a very short nose.

extras available...

branding pack (Lamborghini badge in passenger dash and logo in head rests)
reverse camera
lifting gear
extended leather
electric heated seats
i believe sat nav may of been standard as i have never seen a 06-08 without it
Callisto alloys i believe were extra
ceramic brakes (standard brakes are powerful and excellent)

i found lifting gear very handy and wouldn't buy one without it

... a mint fully loaded example shown here currently for sale....

Fantastic guys, many thanks. Really appreciate the advice.

Any thoughts on extras that are needed/preferred?
