yes, a dirty underworld Albanian drug lord (is that allowed) who in the process killed cc8s hence his lack of reply to my personal email not PM...... I too now live in fear as he had my plate, vin, birth and marriage certificates

Exactly. So now you could be in trouble with the other wife but you may still be ok with the mistress.

I never asked for the register to be removed. I simply asked for my reg number/vin/pics to be removed from another thread ( Speciale as it happens )as I had not authorised their publication.
I'm more than happy for a register for those that want it but only as long as my cars are not included in them

Good evening all - I live!

I removed the threads after the drama that was sparked. Perhaps a rash response but I was compiling the lists for the enjoyment of myself and others and that enjoyment flew out of the window pretty speedily.

I was banned from a thread in which the discussion was going and could not defend myself against some fairly interesting comments that implied I was a criminal mastermind (if only! In those circumstances I would spend more time enjoying my yachts and less on internet forums!).

I am not really interested in digging my thoughts on this up, and have left things with the moderators even though I strongly disagree with them. This said, there is yet more bullstting going on here which I not going to leave uncorrected.

That's funny I've got the 8th one, well I did until someone invaded my privacy placed pictures and details of it all over the internet and then some less than savoury character pinched it along with others.
Don't have a problem with others having their details on view publicly IF they have authorised it but the details of what I have stored away is my business and not for public consumption.

I don't want to be sleeping with a weapon under my bed and my family's lives put at risked thanks very much.

I get less grief from the paparazzi
1. Nobody invaded your privacy. A c. 13 year old spotter took a picture of your car on a public highway and posted it on Instagram. 'All over the internet' lol

2. I reposted the picture with no added 'details'. A move which was foolishly provocative. That picture was removed, along with the toys from your pram.

3. You may think that everything online needs to be posted with prior permission, but this is not how the world works. For better or worse.

4. I won't even go into what I think about your comment of needing weaponary to defend yourself after a spotter kid posts a picture of your car.

GRBF430F1 said:
That's fine but people publishing reg numbers/ VIN's and photo's of your car and you is over stepping the mark as far as I am concerned especially when they are digging around in my private business without authorisation to get all the info to post publicly.
Now the poster may or may not be innocent but I bet your bottom dollar there are people on here that are most definitely not.

If you feel comfortable with all your personal details unearthed and then published on here then good luck to you.

For the record I have sold the Scud
5. Nobody posted VINs of the car, nor did they say they would. To imply so, as you did in the last thread after I was removed, it completely misleading.

6. The only possible piece of 'private information' is that you no longer own the Gallardo you claim to. That is a really odd bit of information to want censored and makes me question your motives.

7. Please refer to me to the private information revealed (the subject rather than content), if No. 6 is incorrect.

8. Correct, I removed the threads as per my initial point in my opening gambit.

9. Again, no VIN posted. It is like there is an echo in here.

10. Oddly enough you never asked for the plate to be removed. And, see point No. 2, I am not surprised or bothered that the picture was removed.

I personally am getting bored of the constant drivel and misrepresentation.

P.s. to any Mod reviewing this after it has been reported, please just remove the offending prt and not the whole post - it has taken me a while to write thumbup I don't believe sarcasm is reportable so hopefully I am fine.

I do not know how mods will feel on the above. I have tried to keep it nice and factual and *tried* to restrain my personal feelings a little biggrin

I have not gone into my frustration with some decisions and have not posted ANYTHING personal (although I am worried that quoting the posts above without prior consent will lead to a 'fracas').

In short, if the above post is deleted, PM me and I will forward you it.

mods..... FWIW I gave, myself, voluntarily, cc8s my plate and vin details...... they were never posted anywhere publically, anywhere, by him, even my plate on the registry..... and I haven't been killed yet..... ps my car incl plate pics, and pics of me unfortunately and without permission appear in so many photo threads, esp of the clophill meets.... for that I directly hold PH responsible and liable as you allow me to advertise the clophill meets here....biggrin

As the owner of one of the 4 super rare LP550-2 I found the database very useful, I also provided either on the thread or directly my reg number to CC8s, the reg numbers are fairly crucial when trying to determine the number of models in existence, for example 3 of the 550-2 are orange, 2 came through or sold via pangbourne so easy to see how they can easily be confused as maybe a singular car.
I have had many nice cars that have been photographed at club events and the like and pictures posted of it
I am not sure exactly where the problem is ?

Indeed, such a shame that it's gone. At least now I can pretend to own a Super Troffeo Stradale, number 3 of 2 in the country...

This public genital waving you continually do is incredibly narcissistic & tedious to read, to put it mildly. Pistonheads is a wonderful little community where likeminded enthusiasts converse, share knowledge and in cases make friends. There are people on this forum with £20,000 Ferraris & £30 Million 250 GTOs, I'm sure you have got several of both...These people manage to communicate without a constant reminder about how much ones car is worth, nor a over dramatised response about someone posting a picture of said car(s). I mean this in the least condescending way possible but there are many people on this forum who have considerably rarer & more valuable cars than yourself, so those hardened criminals will probably head round to their houses first.

Just go and enjoy your car and perhaps concentrate on a strategy not so focused on alienating people.

I never really understood this privacy BS - sorry where do we drive our vehicles ? oh yes on the Public highway - anybody can take a photo and post it on the net or follow you home to find out where you live
this is the world we live in

I found the register CC8 was keeping really useful no sign of any VIN No.s when I viewed it
now ruined by one mindless individual

So has the PET gone or not why is the question being evaded

Mods deleted my response sadly,

i was pointing out To you how you have put your personal info all over the internet for everyone to see but yet are asking for others not to post due to your personal wealth and car collections/houses being a target.

Suggest you remove your linked in, facebook, previous posts on here ... Etc etc. if your security is of genuine concern.

I'd also be inclined not to have a reg number with my initials too if I was that concerned.
