Thanks to the answers on my previous post here and ruling the later SL Gallardo out. The Huracon would appear to be the 'Lambo' car for me but I am struggling with the massive spread of prices, the green examples below are all appealing but other than slight difference in miles I can not see £20K difference(before negotiation obviously)

Also there appears a lot for sale on PH (56) when you compare it to say 458's (73) that have been around for 5 years, especially when to my little knowledge historically there are fewer Lambos than Ferrari's... Is there a reason people appear to be exiting the Huracon? Also very surprised how quickly I could get into a 'pre specced' Spider if I wanted, compared to a 488jester

Is the Huracon similar to the 650S in that list goes out the window when buying new, or are people paying list and then suffering big losses?
Would hate to think I am going to shell out £180K only to lose another 20-30K in a year, in my head i budget to lose £1k a month on second hand toys....

Lots of basic questions but coming from Ferrari it all seems so different.... Thanks for any pointers.

Hi, after yesterday saying you could get a Huracan for not a lot more than 150 I thought I better have a look and your right regards pricing, again without looking I thought they only listed at 170 new ?
What I do know from other threads is that Lamborghini allegedly had some issues with exporting or importing cars into the USA so that meant that the US allocation was taken by the UK / rest of the world resulting in the UK dealers having many more cars than they had anticipated and subsequently more demo cars.

When I came to buy my Aventador I called a few places that advertised them and and at least the first two didn't have them, they were either sold or they never had them anyway so just looked good on their web sites. I recently checked out one of the advertisers on the Huracan who was advertising numerous vehicles on Ph and surprise surprise they show no real asset so I'm guessing they are advertising cars that don't belong to them. They don't even have a showroom. Someone was advertising my GT4 recently without my knowledge, pictured outside my house. Anyway when I come to sell my Aventador there were 37 advertised, that for me was a lot of cars but it sold straight away within a couple of days.
With regard the Huracan I think you you can't avoid the fact that there are a lot of cars for sale, don't be fooled that all the 458 actually for sale are advertised Ferrari are very good at controlling the market. With regard value if you pay 200k like I did you're going to lose 20-30k in the first year it's inevitable on a new car after that I'd say you 1 k a month is sensible for the next couple of years.
With regard delivery I was quoted a 488 Spring 17, a convertible Huracan September this year and. 570 McLaren in April May this year. Not sure that's relevant but that's what I'm told.

Finally decided to go for a Huracan (having finally sat in one I even know how to spell it too)
Deal agreed, deposit (subject to viewing/driving on Saturday) paid.

Picked up the new Kermit Car on Saturday from Sevenoaks and drove the 200 odd miles home through the rain, wind and hail.
First have to Say Brent at Sevenoaks was a total pleasure from start to finish, totaly old school and as I said a pleasure.

First impressions of the car were all positive, very impressed with how the car put the power down in the crappy conditions,
in Strada its like driving an Audi (a good Audi!)and a proper stereo for motorway driving.. but put it into race and the exhaust pops and bangs like nothing I have ever driven maybe its the Factory Sports exhaust fitted,I dont know, but what a laugh.... The response from other road users is fantastic, been used to Ferrari's I thought i was ready for it but oh no!!! Took it out yesterday for a blast in the 'almost dry' conditions and have to say this thing is fast, eeked out on the track the Speciale is probably quicker (no way faster) BUT on the 'fun' roads I dont think the Speciale would see which way Kermit went, least not with me driving both cars.. Perhaps once the honeymoon is over and I am used to it I will find this oversteer they talk about but I reckon that is the last 2% of commited driving, the 98% I am cable of i honestly dont think I will notice and that is also true of the 0.3 seconds or so that the 650S has over the 60 sprint.
For me Kermit has more theatre stood still than any Ferrari I have had,(The McLaren for me is a distant 3rd here) never thought I would say that.....
Just need a little black wrapping in a couple of places, a rear carbon spoiler and I shall be content, for now at least...

One negative, no bloody cup holder for my coffee driving home.

Don't know if I've got one in mine tbh, might be in the 2wd version.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it. I think you might be surprised on track how quick these things are.

The cup holder is now part of the travel package on 2016 model year cars. I think it can possibly be retrofitted but have no idea of the cost I'm afraid.
