I have a 2008 Gallardo Spyder and have had an issue with the roof the last couple of times I have taken the car out. Roof will go down fine but after a drive when I try to put it back up it get to the point where the roof wings have to go down and then it stops operating. The wings will go up and down a couple of times but never fully close. It then seems to trip the roof operation out so it doesn't work at all. Last time I just left it for a few hours and then it worked again. Just waiting to see if that will work again. Obviously not ideal if this happens when out and I can't get the car home. Anyone had this issue or got any ideas of things to look for and check or is it a lambo job and bend over for their labour rates to trace the fault? Cheers.

Hi,

There is a multitude of sensors and sequence triggers to ensure smooth operation. Mine failed recently in a half-open position and turned out to be the locking motors on the windscreen!!!

You can manually operate and lock the roof using the tool in the tool roll - the "how to" is in the manual - and is relatively straight forward which will allow you to get home.
