Considering Performante vs LP560 Spyder - not many of the latter around so struggling to try both. Did you try LP560 before LP570 and is there a big difference in extra noise and/or sharper handling?

Mumbojumbo (or whatever he's called now) will be along in a minute to get you to buy a McLaren 650s. He used to own a Performante Edizione Tecnica before he got all religious.

Biggest difference will be the interior tbh.... the alcantara of the performate to me is worth it.... spyder with a sports exhaust will be similar sound wise, 10bhp irrelevant, weight penalty will make small difference...

I went from LP560 Coupe to Performante.

Noticeable differences are interior, suspension much harder in performante, much more raw, brakes much much better in performante.

A Performance looks better than an LP560 Spyder also.

Think that's about it smile

Performante drives very similar to lp560 coupe, very slightly heavier on braking, but that's about it, spyder is much softer, all imo.

Spyder also feels quite a bit heavier again. Not sure you would notice so much on the road, but at track, pf is in another league to spyder

I looked at all sorts GT3 650s 458 etc but just fell for the looks and all round character of the Performante. Got a 13 plate with factory sports exhaust and ball polished alloys with only 6000 miles, epic fun!

No question the Performante is the most fun car I've ever owned. Every drive is a pantomime and people love it BUT technically it feels dated and a bit agricultural up against the likes of 991 GT3 458 or 650S.

Its solidly built, sounds fantastic is fast enough and handles like its on rails with the 4 x 4.

Personally I think the changes up and above a LP560 make it a better and rarer car but you can get 90% of that thrill for 75% of the price so if you are up against it for budget I don't think a 560 would be a disappointment

I too found the GT3 458 650 more modern as you would expect and sharper in all areas as you would also expect, but for the road I was after character and presence and just found more of it in the Lambo smile If I want to go quick then I would take the Datsun out Lol
