When you compare the time intervals going up the hill the Porsche 918 ekes out a 10+ second advantage. That's all about power up the hill apart from one high speed corner. I expect the Performante to be fast but am anticipating a time between 7:05-7:10 if their aero trickery is as good as they claim.

I know it's raking up old ground but seriously would Maclaren not have shouted it from the rooftops if they were the fastest around the Nurb? I don't buy the old British reserve story that they are above all that petty boy racing lark!
That's my point. There's no way the P1 did anything near the lap Mclaren were claiming/hinting privately to various people in my opinion. The same applies to this purported huracan lap....It does look increasingly like the time is real and the Huracan is the new king of the Ring. Some of the Gumball squad posting on it.

I've been told that the Performante lapped quicker than the 918.
Combo of driver talent, active aero and tyres.
Anyone going to the preview event beginning of Feb?

I'm sure the performance and sound will be outstanding. The bits which I'm not sure about are the 'copper' coloured engine covers, the shape of the rear diffuser and also the extensive use of visable carbon composite instead of carbon fibre. I appreciate that it's stronger, lighter etc, etc but to me, it doesn't look very nice. Hopefully it's one of the many options available.I'm sure this and much more will be discussed in a new topic that pops up following next weekends previews.

I would prefer the carbon to look like my current Performantes, cant imagine what door cards would look like in that stuff?

GoMLambo.s Carbon composite is a strange idea, to me it looks like stressed plastic. It might be a bit lighter but the weight saving must be minimal.
