Just scanning through the usual classified sources and it seems there is a big shortage of LP coupes.

Excluding the Superleggara there seems to be perhaps 3 available with approximately 8 spyders available.

It is certainly not the time that we see much activity Lamborghini car sales so it will be interesting to see how this changes as the spring starts. But I dont recollect it being this sparse last year around this time.

I don't think its as drastic as that because if you are excluding SL from coupe category then it might not be unreasonable to exclude Performante from spyder category in which case it is:

C: 9
S: 13

The above doesn't exclude any "specials" other than SL or Perf.

All together including the exclusions from the above:

C:17
S:21

There are also cars out there that haven't made it to PH yet like the ST at HR Owen.

I haven't been stalking the Gallardo classifieds long enough to know if it could be a trend but my expectation would be that if someone wants to buy a Lamborghini they will be keen to drive it and not wait several months. So, someone looking to buy a car in Nov-Mar may be the sort of person more inclined to buy a coupe which would mean that coupes may sell a bit more quickly and thus not be as many advertised.

Likewise, someone looking to buy a spyder may want to get a winter bargain and primarily keep it garaged until spring, but it is more likely that buyers of such cars would come out of the woodwork when the weather turns and they can buy & enjoy right away.

This may be a generalisation and actual individual preferences could vary. But to me it makes sense there would be more spyders on the market over winter. Perhaps they come onto market at the same rate at coupe but don't sell as well over winter leading to appearance of "shortage" of C vs S. Or, perhaps owners of spyders find it easier to part with the car once the seasons change which would increase the proportion of spyders available compared to coupes.

I've been studying the market for a couple years now. My feeling is that although there appears to be LP and pre-LP Coupes for sale, there is almost always something not quite right with them... So the one you want to have are lacking....
