Lots Of Sour Grapes About Performante 6.52 Ring Record
Discussion
Lamborghini has released its Vbox timing data for the lap. The Huracan used road tyres. The record is genuine. Lambo is now in a whole different league.

Hi Quickmoose,
I have watched the interview with Mr Glickhaus. To me he came across as rather bitter, probably something to do with a far 'inferior' car rather raining on his parade, but that's just my interpretation I'm sure there are plenty of alternative views. Bitterness is not a particularly pleasant trait...

You may have looked at some of my previous posts. I did genuinely believe that Lambo had made a true game changing development. From what I can see of the evidence released including the use of road legal, freely available Trofeo R tyres I have no reason to doubt it.
To me the appointment of Stefano Domenicali has been the key, you can sense his determination to place Lambo right at the top, including a rapidly growing presence in GT racing etc. Lambo racing heritage is low compared to the likes of Ferrari etc but that can change over time.
One thing that the Huracan does have is that fabulous V10 engine that none of its peers can match. Yes I am a fan and an owner but I am truly thrilled as a petrol head the aero vectoring has been introduced to a road car and in such dramatic fashion.
Forza Lamborghini

No but you can spec them when you order one. Those Trofeo's aren't 'freely available'....yet
I imagine they're a variation of the standard Trofeo R, if there is such a thing.
Shame Pirelli don't have a shop near the ring that all the manufacturers can stop at and have Trof R's fitted...they're clearly a devastating tyre.
