Nearly did it 4 years ago when market was at the bottom, which has obviously risen substantially since then.

Kinda disappointed I didn't go for the nice yellow 2004 G I was looking at but suspect it would have been a bit of a money pit.

If you have the inspections done and take out a warranty I can't see a problem.

There is not much of a gap between private and retail prices. Better to go to a good indy with a good rep and good warranty and haggle hard.

I bought mine privately 4 years ago with zero issues. Most private ones get snapped up by the dealers or head there SOR.

Almost bought a LP560-4 privately early last year. Would of gone ahead but seller got cold feet at the last minute. Easy enough to check car and seller out if you use some common sense.

I sold my Gallardo Spyder last year privately. Simple process. I got more than selling it to the trade and the buyer paid less than he would have paid a dealer. Everyone was happy.

I wouldn't be put off a car just because it is private - simply get it inspected!
