I love the sound of my LP560 for the first 45 seconds on cold start, but then as most of you know, the LP560 goes very quiet once the valves/vacuum close. It is the same when the engine is started and you rev it a little, it sounds so flat and dull and not Lamborghini like at all!

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of one of these with the standard exhaust system, and if it made a difference?

I know the exhaust system and valves on the pre LP cars was much different and you can pull the vacuum lines, but Lamborghini have told me (also confirmed by other forum posts I have read) that this will also throw up error codes on the LP560, so not something I want to do.

Any advice greatly appreciated

I have a Larini Clubsport which is pretty much straight through when the Valves are open, e.g. on start-up and over 3500rpm. When closed, the noise is much louder than the std pipe. When I say noise, I actually mean symphony :-)

Just plug the hose with a screw. Takes about 10mins.

I went for a Super Trofeo Exhaust on my LP570-4. Works out at about 5k supplied and fitted. Sound is Symphonic and weighs much less than standard exhaust. Some performance gains (around 5% BHP and Torque). Opted for this as it is Lambo OEM and therefore no chance of any warranty or dealer support related issues that may arise with an aftermarket system. I prefer not to "pollute" my pride and enjoy with non Lambo add ons. That is just me.

I have the remote control capristo on a standard Ferrari exhaust and it does make the car a lot louder if you keep the valves open when the engine is cold - I assume it would be the same on the Lambo

Had this on my LP560 - easily the best sounding exhaust for the car. Loud when it counts but sensible for pootling.
