Surely all super car values (excluding the ltd editions) will suffer before too long. I mean manufacturers are knocking them out in mass these days. Maclaren amongst others bring a new model out every few weeks and are ramping it up as quick as they can. A lot of these cars are hardly driven and don't decay so when does the market reach saturation point?

I would say best time to sell is February to April. I sold my Performante in March this year and had a bag load of serious inquiries from people wanting the car to use from Easter through the summer. Most buyers have already bought for this year now in my opinion so i think its a bit late now to get a good price!

There have been at least 10 cars sold over the Summer and overall prices are steady to slightly up. Later, lighter models and rear-wheelers are holding strong and starting to overtake Huracan entry prices.
I wish that were true but prices are on the way down, especially SL and Performante. Get used to it, they will continue to fall.
Gen2 SL on way down as not limited or as rare and special as some of the other Gallardos (was basically an option tick box on the 560-4).

Some limited specials like Balboni and Gen1 SL still rising. Find a manual of either and you are in the money.
It is true.

TheMarket is showing a +15% rise in average UK Gallardo prices during the past year.
What is the source of that data?

I find that very difficult to believe, best case those figures are skewed by Singapore editions/Balboni editions suddenly being advertised for big numbers. In reality, none are selling and SL2 & Perf have fallen about 10k.

Never you mind

Been watching the market since I got the 50th. All in all prices have remained pretty static. The 300K Balboni and Singapore jobs will never sell at that price IMHO. Some of the cars that where on the market when I was looking are still up for sale however, from what I can gather main dealer stuff seems to be sold quicker than stuff at other places.

I've also kept an eye on other markets as well, Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren and it's pretty much the same story.

This to me is key - the endless supply of new cars.

Respectfully, that'll be May not August, you've enjoyed this summer (!) not the new owner. smile
No, my last phrase was referring to when i started to sell in June, thinking it was a good time. And a month or so, no caller at all thats what surprised me.

I do not fully agree that what people like to pay is what it truly worth, That only reflect on what the buyer wants to pay, or sometimes seeking for a bargain, My point is, like some of you say, for slow economy (with the house prices as well), cars these price mark is not really shifting... Obviously the £5k golf they sell all day long no matter what. But an over 100k LP may have to be patient for the right buyer.

I priced my Huracan realistically, and I had 3 enquiries and a couple of offers within a week. Car sold after two weeks back to the trade for cash and a figure I was happy with. The trader again moved it on in less than two weeks.
I think there are a few chancers out there who are putting cars up at silly prices not that really bothered about selling and others like sheep are following believing the hype. Too many people getting greedy and the result is a stagnant market!
My message is get realistic!

I'm looking to buy or at least will be in a position to in the coming weeks. I'm after an LP coupe preferably an orange bicolore but open to other options. If anyone is thinking of selling I'm all ears.
RR50 has a very nice black coupe up for 104k which will be a contender if it's still available.

Orange bi-colore - nice choice. Colour scheme works really well with the car. I was thinking of selling my late bi-colore earlier in the year but decided to keep it.

Really like the colour combination, are all the bi-colore cars 2011? Is yours orange?

Mine is 2012

Mine is white. However I have medium dark yellow wrap with a slight metallic quality to it on the white part.

The few I have found for sale have been white, must have been a popular colour for that car at the time.
The yellow suits it and looks well but I'm still hankering after a factory orange one rather than wrapping the car to the same effect.

Nice, facelift by the looks of it. Just looks stunning I think with the black contrast.

Yep, that was a 50th Anni Edition (2013). The lower front/rear bumpers in matt black was the 'stealth' pack I think available as an option. Standard they left the factory in the same colour as the car. On the facelift it improved the looks no end, especially the rear.

Hi there. I have sent you a PM in respect to this. I am potentially looking to sell my LP560-4 Bicolore. Black and white.

Cheers.

It also seems that a lot of G's are going to dealers that I personally wouldn't consider buying a Lamborghini from, the type of small dealers that are selling a lot of sub £30k regular cars but also have a £90k Gallardo. Maybe that's just me but I've passed on a couple like that.
OP - has it sold yet or is it the one at Ron Hodgson? I agree with Big E - supercars at regular dealers puts me completely off, I'd want to deal with people who sell these cars all the time, not people who, most likely, know very little about them.
