I'm a recent convert to black wheels. These diamond cut Apollo's on my 50th Anni with Arancio Borealis paint look spot on

Old 5ltr with the Callisto's in Titanium looked great too, black would have been too much imo

Those are not black, they look a matt/satin grey and have silver highlights to bring out the lines and details of the wheel.

I've just bought this, first impressions are it's superb, it seems light years ahead of the pre-LP manual gallardo I had previously.
You just drove past me. I was in the garage in Gorseinon in mine 😜

Sounded ace and looked amazing Dean! I dropped you an email Thursday too, unsure if you got it?

Cheers mate 👍.

I didn't get the email Frank, my pistonheads account is linked to an old email account I no longer use, but I'll log into it and check it shortly.

I knew it was you that's why I beeped the horn, i would have pulled in had I not been in a rush to get home, I love the wrap on yours, it looks unreal.

In reply to the OP and my first post!

I sold my 2009 Lp560 black on black Egear in 4 weeks through eBay in November last year, I went 6k under the dealer price and it flew out car had 14k miles on the clock and was just serviced.

Dealer offered me 18k under the price I sold it for.. i sold to a private buyer who said he had been looking for 4 months for the right car.

Re antony1981

You must be one of the few lucky guys really. I don't sell my cars on eBay to start with due to the amount of time wasters and let alone selling a car with this value.

I believe that they are more of a demand driven than price driven, even I advertise it the lowest in the market I still don't get much (if any ) interests.

I have it with a garage on a SOR basis since I cannot offer finance and warranty Privately. And he said he has not had an enquiry about it. And price is now 10k less than when I first intend to sell it back in May.

The market is really quiet at the moment and has been for the last 12 months nearly. Sellers are trying to get the inflated prices that were around during 2016 but the rampant buying for anything and everything has dried up in the last year. With new product in the supercar market place coming on stream all the time if the buying interest doesn't resume soon in the second hand market it's going to be a case of look out below for prices in my opinion.

The price drop is helpful and it’s now in a better place for summer, but now you’re in November when buyers are scarce. If you really want to sell now the price needs to drop again I’m afraid; 99,995 perhaps. Alternatively, wait until about April then your current price is probably about right.

Buyers are around in the winter but they are looking for an excellent price; exactly what i have just done having bought a 458 a week ago.

This is true. I'd still be tempted with an LP Gallardo this side of Xmas but it'd have to be priced very keenly, sub 100. Currently im looking at 991 GT3's which do appear to be selling well even now.

Can you provide details on your 458? Price, mileage and year?

^ Looks good.

Probably worth getting a professional detailer to polish and protect the paintwork for £500-1000. It looks a bit dulled. Polish it, to make it pop again.

My crappy phone camera, better pics here:

Also has paint protection film on it so the paint is in good condition

This must be Josewicks car from a few posts above? Was up at 105k I believe. Looks nice in that colour, enjoy!
Seven oaks have just dropped their black 2010(59) coupe to 99,995 which seems good value for a main dealer car... or it did until checking cap trade in price which is circa 65- 70k. That's enough for me to leave it alone.
Can't help but thinking these early LP Gallardos are due a hit soon, i can see them at 80k before long.

One benefit if Gallardo prices soften is that the same will happen with Huracans. So if you are looking to move up to a Huracan it works out better to move up to a Huracan in a softening market rather then a strengthening market.

I think the price spread between LP560 and early Huracan needs to close because the benefit of Huracan over LP560 is not that great especially for enthusiasts (which is what makes up the second hand market). The Huracan is softer and more refined but does it give a better supercar experience? I am not so sure. The Performante is on a different level, and what the Huracan should have been from the beginning but the LP580 or 610 leave me cold from a looks, interior and drive perspective. Sure, they go faster than an LP560 but if you are driving primarily on the road then this is irrelevant. Therefore if we are in a falling price environment (which we seem to be at the moment) I think the Huracan LP580 and 610 are going to get relatively much more affordable.
