Ha, they managed to sell enough of the original Gallardo Performantes so I don't think it will be a problem. Anyway, given that the spoiler is 100% functional and an essential part of the ALA I think it is more than acceptable. There is another spyshot taken at the same time which shows a bit more of the rear aerodynamic arrangements as well as the full camo ones and Lambo look to have done a neat enough job on it. Looking forward to seeing the official release photos which should be due soon. Geneva is not too far away. Personally I think it should look fantastic as I love the more roadster design of the Huracan Spyder compared to the Gallardo.
I've no doubt that they'll sell every single one without issue.......I get the wing on the Coupe.......it's designed to go as faast as possible......big wing needed for those all important 'Ring lap times...................but then the convertible loses a bit of that ethos by it's very nature......seems a bit less neccessary on the Spyder to me........and looks bit more boy racer.......to me anyway! I'm with Sarnie.
Big wings on convertibles look wrong. See Honda S2000's for the worst offenders.
Its the reason I didn't get a Gallardo Performante and stuck with the regular LP-560 Spyder at the time.
The Huracan Performante is just about forgivable because the whole car is about it's ALA and it's therefore intrinsic to the design.

I saw a Huracan performante spyder partially hidden under a cover at the factory.
Red with bronze wheels... maybe the car for Geneva.
Sounds like mine ! Red with bronze wheels... maybe the car for Geneva.
Hope the launch colour isn't red for the spyder. Don't want them becoming the new green/orange and common place

Do any owners, or anyone that has driven both, have strong views on LDS vs non-LDS?
I have a Performante without Lds and previously owned a std Huracan with Lds, I would say I prefer it without but the difference is overstated, it wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me as you soon get used to it.sone said:

HP = LDS is best.
Lambo improved LDS in the ~3 years between the H (2014) and HP (2017).

Whilst it is improved on the Performante I found it too variable and unpredictable and I don't think no amount of time behind the wheel would make me feel entirely comfortable and confident with it.
If it was standard I would of deleted it let alone pay extra for it when its not even needed in the first place

Where did you drive one to have the system so fully engaged ?
On the subject of availability, it’s odd how it changes by country. My local dealer has 2 in stock and is so keen to sell me one, he called yesterday offering to let me have their demo for the day.
Of the two they have, one has race seats and the other comfort. If I buy one it will not have the race seats, I have never been so uncomfortable in a car. They are rock hard and too upright and like most owners I doubt i will track it.

A few dealers in the US have HP's sitting on the floor with a small markup but they also have undesirable specs or important specs missing. I would only factory order a HP, no point of spending all this money on a crappy spec'd HP. On the subject of availability, it’s odd how it changes by country. A bit OT but Motor Trend just lapped the HP at Big Willow and the result was pretty impressive...
