May I ask if this is your usual approach, or something more specific to the Performante and/or this car?
As soon as you start messing with a car, even something as innocuous as powder coating the wheels, it's going to make it harder to sell. The Performante is a great car but I don't think it represents a pinnacle in anything so there's a good chance I might want to move it on in the future.

Anyone else think they could be a bit louder?

I was disappointed - given the controls are just like my Audi - that I can’t configure the exhaust to be in loud mode on demand like on my RS6. Or am I missing something?

Seriously ? Are you on the wind up or have you not found the sport/corsa button yet . If it was any louder I would of thought it would be banned. Best sounding supercar out there

Maybe you need to get your ears de-waxed

Changing the wheels to bronze will have no effect on the sale price but may increase the appeal IMHO.

The Nurburgring lap record was a pinnacle, the last Normally aspirated V10 engine will be a legacy, the DCT gearbox is as good as you can get and the reviews all support it being an epic car and major step forward for Lamborghini performance/track weapons. Its no longer #lifestylelambo but a serious piece of kit right up there with the very best driving machines.
Hence the demand and your own impromptu desire to have one in the first place.

All cars eventually get gazumped and inevitably get moved on but I wouldn't worry about the wheels one way or the other.
Just enjoy the best supercar experience on the road out there right now and if it becomes a classic as the last N/A V10 Lambo albeit

Looking at dad_drive’s garage I doubt very much he needs advice from anyone.

Lamborghini are notorious for producing “to the power n” iterations of their cars. There will almost certainly be a “really, extra, special , even more track focused version” of the performante in very limited numbers. And it will be this one that holds any significant, long term collectible premium. They are churning out as many performantes they can, regardless of your constant sales pitch about future value.

The marginal buyer these days seems so fickle, and impatient to own the next latest and greatest I think it will be hard for any of these cars to beat the depreciation curve. The fresh supply of newer even better ones than before appears relentless.

dad_drive can start a thread about your Noble M600.

A rarity that needs more exposure.

I did post in the M600 thread in the Noble forum. I need to get some proper mileage on it then I can do a writeup of some sort. It's a wonderfully honest car but the quirks are frustrating.

I don't Lamborghini are going to give up on the Hurucan for a while. There's bound to be a facelift, another performance version and a LE still to come before the inevitable turbo/hybrid replacement.

Funny you should say that ..... I've spent a reasonable amount of time in various H's and P's, ahead of the delivery of my P, still 4-months away.

My 991.2 GT3 arrives sooner and after my first drive in one this week, I'm seriously impressed and even more excited yes

Performante Spyder £26k more than coupe yikes

Standard Huracan spyder over coupe is £15k and there is no additional standard spec between Performante derivatives

Seems Lamborghini think the coupe was too cheap and are recouping some more via the spyder but no doubt it will be dressed up as all the extra R & D with the ALA for the convertible

^^ wow!!

Spend enough time in the supercar game and throwing figures around like £200K becomes 'normal'...

.. then something like this happens and you think: '£26K extra just for the spyder option?' and it reminds you there is nothing normal about this game at all!

500+ miles in and I'm starting to gel with mine a bit more now. You can take unbelievable liberties with it. If I drove my 458 Speciale in the same manner I drove the Hurucan this morning on cold, damp, British roads I'd have ended up in a ditch. When it comes to scaring the **** out of your passengers I don't think any car is more capable.

Somehow my reversing camera has failed so that's a trip back to the dealer unless it spontaneously fixes itself as these things often do.

Also beginning to wish I'd gone for a car with buckets. I sit way too high on the comfort seats.

The Spider version of the 650S was 20K more than the coupe 3 years ago, 26k doesn't seem that excessive.

I think the point Rambo was making is that the normal Huracan spider is only £15k more than the coupe, so they're clearly milking the market by charging £26k more for the Performante spider over the Performante coupe given the differences are consistent.

Thanks, after 10 days of detailing and PPF being applied I've only 5 more sleeps to go. Not everyones choice of colour for a Lambo but I like to be different although it is my 2nd red Performante after the Gallardo. Spyder is likely to be Verde mantis or a McLaren colour done through ad personum

Are you tall ? Buckets are obviously lower with no electrics and heating but you can recline the back.
Buckets are fixed and quite upright which is fine for me at a diddly 5'9"
