Went to Pangbourne today to finalise my Performante Spyder spec. Really good service from Max and the team.

Main options I've gone for are Bianco Icarus, Narvi forged bronze wheels, style pack, comfort seats, lift/magneto suspension, no LDS. Now for the long wait biggrin

I thought about pulling the trigger on the Spyder but having seen one at the factory now, I just can't get on with the looks. Just looks wrong with the wing IMO, and goes against the ethos of the car. Bet it will sound good though!

The wing does not look right on the Spyder at all.

No no no :-)

I took the HP Spyder at Pangbourne for a test drive last week, I reckon it looks fantastic ( despite it having a matte wrap which is not to my taste) and the way it drives..... and sounds!!!!!! sweet jesus and the orphans... literally everything about it is awesome - it was a most profound experience - a f££king amazing car!
Bet it does sound good! Basically the only reason I was considering it was the extra noise from going roofless.

But alas, couldn't get on with the look of it. You also lose the useful storage space behind the seats and it was interesting to sit in the comfort seats of the demo car (not sure how anyone above 5ft 11 can actually see out of the windscreen) compared to my carbon ones.

Dynamically I couldn't really tell a difference though (although, only so much you garner from a test drive). I know EVO noticed know real difference with the R8 losing its roof, so I guess that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise!

Is Pangbourne the only dealer with a Spyder demonstrator? Has Lamborghini London got one?

My nearest dealer hasn't got one but that's because its only just opened (there's a cocktail party on Thursday night for Lamborghini customers) but I want to so see a Spyder in person before ordering.

You will be looking at cancelled orders for 2019 allocation, well certainly at my 2 nearest dealers and by what I'm told. Wont be many going into the following year either as production ends with new gen huracan coming

So guys I was actually told by my dealer that the refreshed H is now confirmed for MY20 and HP production is ending with MY19 making the HP a 2 year limited run. Anyone hear something similar?

Lambo London offloaded there demo last week, gutted as I changed the spec on mine to match it otherwise I would have called it on.

Yep spot on. Not sure if the 2 yrs end March or June 2019 but if you haven't got one on order now you may struggle.

Huracan will be the last of the naturally aspirated V10 engine from Lamborghini as well as new gen car will be Hybrid.

Read Huracan Performante as 458 Speciale was for Ferrari and can see prices firming up going forward despite the overall market decline

There have been quite a few advertised on the market presumably by flippers or people changing into the spyder which is not ideal in a depressed market. Some usual speculative high prices but there seems to be a regular churn of good spec cars .
Lowest spec car is still advertised over list whilst others that have stuck are still as high as + £30k over list.
Once the glut of cars clears down and new Huracan details become clearer and the market recovers the prices will get a 2nd wind

Surely the facelift Huracan in 2020 will use the same NA V10 with some tweaks? If so there will be a Performante or similar version of the facelift a little later. Therefore the current HP can't really be considered as similar to the Speciale.

Yeah, but his argument is always "once something happens, despite evidence to the contrary, prices will start skyrocketing". Thing is, they never do .....

Yes, so have I and I would love to think that it will be worth more than I paid for it in a couple of years but unfortunatley I think the reality will be quite different.

My dealer is calling it a H replacement, I think it's more of a refresh. No word if the V10 will stay NA due to emissions regulations . I was also told by someone at HQ that the production numbers for the HP are pretty low. Some dealers haven't even received MY19 allocations and might only get a handful with majority been spyders.

I'll be attending the one off project event in NYC in a couple weeks. They'll be previewing the upcoming Aventador replacement at this event as well so maybe we'll get some insight on the future H as well.

Thought it had been said that the replacement will be a V10 with electrical boost?

That's the rumor right now for the A replacement V12. Nothing concrete on the future of the V10.
