Why are comfort seats a definitive no? Carbon seats are pure dog st, I wonder how much will someone drive the car with them, maybe it's all show no go, so who cares? Seats are trash for track, you can't do a full day in a less than perfect circuit, without blowing up your spine AND you can't even have a proper 4 point harness, even if you get a harness bar. For the street they are useless. Then they look so fking ugly, like some cheap replica of the caterham buckets with some useless, but nice looking padding.
They do hold you well, but don't the comforts hold pretty decently too?
So my question is, why would anyone even bother buying a car like this, thinking on actually driving it, and not spec comfort seats?
P.S. Lamborghini has so many good bucket seats in the group, it's retarded they still didn't made a slight effort to fix this long-lasting problem.
From Bugatti buckets, Porsche, Bently, even the freaking golf gti clubsport has better buckets than Lamborghini.
And don't even go with the 'it's a race car', race cars seats are all more comfortable than these. If someone really wants to track the car, recaro pole position (if they fit) or the ones from the Huracan GT3, a harness bar, and voila, but, as always, if 5% of cars see regular track work, I would be surprised, so it will be useless info.
/rant off.

Totally with you here. I've owned many cars with buckets seats and quite a few with harnesses, and nothing comes close to the discomfort of the LHP buckets.
Let's face it, half the LHPs been bought to flip from new for 40k profit and everyone else will hide them in their garage and pray the next car after the Huracan has a V6 Turbo. Of course, you have to have the buckets for "resale", sod actually driving the thing
And why no harnesses, obvs Lamborghini knows that 95% of this track day special will never see a track so makes no sense to offer them.
Maybe the seat situation is individual to your frame and size. All I can say is from a slim athletic persons point of view the carbon bucket seats are amazingly comfortable.
I didn't think the so called "comfort" seats were anymore comfortable and they certainly didn't provide any lateral support at all.
Obviously I can't speak for the more portly person but would of thought they had their own "padding".
Given the fact Lamborghini has gone to extreme lengths to save a few lbs here and there and employed forged composite components to save weight its seems insane that almost half of that benefit is lost with the not so comfortable and hefty "comfort" wide boy seats
Looks are subjective and the carbon buckets are sublime IMHO

A few questions to new/impending owners as my spec is nearing the point of lock-down...
Are these "Performante" mats the ones that seem to be made from a harder "light-weight" material that I've seen on the demonstrators (and also seem to do nothing to help stop your feet sliding around when stepping in/out of the car), or are those something else?
Interesting to see people giving LDS a miss. I've only driven with on Leicester's demonstrator, and didn't find it too intrusive. Plus I believe most of the press cars have been equipped and the reviews have been favourable? That said I do wonder if it would be better without. Are their any dealers that have a car with non-LDS steering, or anyone who has driven both able to give their thoughts on the differences?
Agree comfort seats is a bad idea for resale on these. It would be an instant turn-off if I were looking for one on the 2nd hand market. I'm one of the lucky few that have found the carbon seats absolutely fine though (being a short-arse probably helps!)

Pretty much all the weight loss in the Huracan is down to the seats its a track special how many Porsche/Ferrari track cars would you see with comfort seats despite the trade for confort?
But if you want to use it everyday and touring race seats are always going to be hard work.
The Huracan seats are slightly better than SV ones, same seats but they have reclined them slightly. the issue with the Lambo seats is really easy to resolve, If you want more comfort with them or more headroom if you are tall they are actually pretty comfortable with a bit of decline on them.
Just add about 10mm spacers or washers, size to suit at the front and longer bolts this translates to about 3.5 inches at the top, the rails don't sit directly on each other even before, they only touch at the bolt points where there is already a welded spacer and so there is no more or less contact or strength with the new setup at an angle.
Most race teams use this method for fixed seats for taller drivers.

Prefer to not have the LDS and save the £1500 as its far better having a consistent feel to the steering. The Performante LDS seems better calibrated than the earlier standard Huracan system but even so the purists and experts suggest its better without.
Now if you need to do 3 point turns up Oxford street everyday maybe you will see some value in it but personally for me its a big No No

I drove mine for 2.5 hours no stop yesterday and I did not find the carbon buckets remotely uncomfortable. I think they give the perfect driving position for me with great side support. The only downside with them that I see is that it makes the car a little more difficult to get out of in tight spaces.

The Performante mats shown in my yellow one above are carpet mats with the Performante script on the side and inverted stitching around the edge. Are these "Performante" mats the ones that seem to be made from a harder "light-weight" material that I've seen on the demonstrators (and also seem to do nothing to help stop your feet sliding around when stepping in/out of the car), or are those something else?
The hard ones are what you get when you go for the laser etched pattern. I think they are aluminium.

Ok they are not OEM but I can get top quality carpet mats with logos/lettering etc for less than £100.The hard ones are what you get when you go for the laser etched pattern. I think they are aluminium.
As regards the laser etch aluminium ones I found them way to slippery when entering the vehicle as they are rock hard ( probably even harder than the carbon bucket seats if that's possible )

Because you sit IN them rather than ON them I could see that ingress and egress is a little more difficult if you cannot open the door fully as you have got to clear the side bolsters ( base and side ) that firmly hold you in place. There is no doubt they are firm with little padding so the "perception" is they will be uncomfortable but so were the ones in the Gallardo Performante and again I never had any issues with them over 3 hr journeys.
I'm relatively small at 5' 9" and 12 stone and the seats are snug ( especially shoulder area ) but I think if I was 6' 2" and 16 stone I don't think it would just be the seats that were a challenge but the whole car TBH
