Engine warning light

So this has come up a couple of times on my 06. First time I took it in and they said petrol cap was the issue. Tightened and set on my way. It came up again so I bought the maxi scan ms509. Its coming up with p0442. Again small leak in evap system .

Question is the kit allows me to clear the code however with a warning for some cars. Does anyone have or use one of these and had any issues clearing codes ?! I think I need a new petrol cap or I have tiny leak in the hose .

Evap systems warnings can be cleared, nothing to worry about....

In prelp cars, not just about making sure the cap is on tight but keep tank above quarter fill, always

Also, ensure your rear spoiler is working okay, same circuit, so if fuse gone on that, you get the eveap warnings too
