^^^^ This was the guy on page 2 of this thread that ridiculed the suggestion HPs would drop by 50k in 6 months time. We are almost there a month on from that comment!
Hardly ridiculed! My comment above was how I expect all Supercar’s to perform financially and as I said particularly if you drive them. Still don’t think the perfs will drop 50k off list soon, maybe trade bids but there’s a lot of worries people with finance hanging over them so some will be desperate to get out! In my opinion.

As I mentioned earlier I can get in to a new one for £25-30k off list so I think £50k off list is not far away at all IMHO.

How is that even possible? You're basically telling me the dealer will eat up their profit to sell you a car. Stop peddling fake news but don't expect much from a Ferrari fanboy.

I’ve never been offered discount on any new Lambo only those in stock that have been specced by the dealer.
Be good to hear from someone who has actually ordered a new car recently and see what they’ve been offered to induce them into a deal if anything. There’s too many people who have a mate or know someone that was offered a deal. “Horses mouth” then I’d believe it!

I suppose there’s a lot of downward pressures on the car industry going forward, which must affect all marques’ future order books at the moment..

Brexit, financial market slowdown, housing market at a standstill in the S/East etc...

Also there must be more direct issues, like for example will the particulate filter on these cars reduce HP/noise?? Plus, I suppose, a ‘no deal Brexit’, could impose import duties on vehicles, potentially making them more expensive??

Are these issues at the moment? confused

Of all the things lambo could have picked up from mclaren, this particular one was somewhat unexpected....

KHK still on the defensive despite everyone now being offered a discount and new coupe allocations coming out the woodwork lol.

Regarding coupes, Lamborghini were incentivising these to the dealers, £25k was the number thrown around, therefore they could discount to this amount and still make there usual margin. Of course there would have been a mug or two that has got an allocation, think they've hit the jackpot and paid full list.

Even if the supplying dealer has only given £15k off its still win win for all.

As I've said before, when someone comes on here who has ordered one and got the discount I'll believe it, until then I believe there are many people on here with an axe to grind.

Why would I have an axe to grind?

I spent the day on a Shoot & Drive day last Thursday courtesy of Lambo..........when my car sells, I will be getting one.............

With respect that comment is not particularly pointed at you, its just there is so much bullst on these forums and so much back biting between the marques I take more or less everything written on here with a huge dose of salt.
One thing I will say though is the Perf seems to be picking up on popularity, there are quite a few people looking to buy and this can only help stabilise values.

Never you mind

I think most people looking to buy. myself included, are waiting on the prices to fall a little bit more, which I think they will.

Indeed, I'm torn between ordering new to my spec, with a discount........or picking up a used one to someone elses spec..........at this stage, not sure I would order a new one without a discount given where used prices are currently............

This makes sad reading for someone that has paid list for a Perf that is waiting to be delivered next week!

Oh well life goes on ;p

Interesting debate and one I have followed closely as I did have a deposit on a Performante Spyder, which I have just pulled. To add some facts I have bought my last three Lambos: Gallardo Superleggera II, Huracan Coupe, Huracan Spyder and all three were under one year old, both Huracans had less than 1,000 miles on the clock, the Superleggera had 2,400 miles and all three were £40,000 less than list price, including any options they were fitted with. All of them were as new.
I had to be patient to find the right colour and spec and equally had to compromise on some minor features, for example the Huracan Coupe did not have DAB and cruise which I would have preferred, but my most recent one, the Spyder and the Superleggera were exactly as I would have chosen to spec them.
I can understand the huge pleasure in buying a brand new car, and the process of speccing it to your exact tastes, which I have done in the past, but that was outweighed for me by the additional stuff I could do with the savings made over new.
Ultimately it is up to the purchaser to decide on the value attached to buying brand new, but there are reasonable alternatives if you are patient and prepared to travel or trust your dealer to source for you.
The only issue I can foresee with the HP is that a lot of the colours are more adventurous than is usual, even for Lambos!
If you have one or about to buy new or used enjoy driving in good health, they are amazing cars driving

Recently bought a HP at 20% off the new cost albeit it was v high spec with £15k paint but many options do not retain much value. I would have waited til spring normally but liked the rare colour so bought now instead, just made sure the price accounted for current dismal sellers market.

Had some great drives already around Scotland and it's made my 2018 GT3RS seem a bit boring/sound like a hairdryer in comparison. Bucket seats are absolutely fine too, I prefer them marginally to the RS ones.

I just spoke to my dealer and he said he wouldn’t entertain such a discount although to be honest he didn’t say he wouldn’t discount at all. In his words that’s more than is in the car for me so why would I?
