Some absolutely and utterly stunning cars in here gents. What we dont make up for in quantity, we do in quality!

The superlegs are utterly buttery, really, really, really should not have held onto my 996T for 9 years and should have made a point of taking the time to have had the pleasure in such ownership. I genuinely do not think there is a better car out there at that price point.

Gutting frown I remember seeing a Rosso Mars H the same spec out not far from Wemberly.......Saturday, 18 August 2018 around 2:15pm (Spurs were playing Fulham) and thinking to myself.......yup! Still, perfect car to change to!

Im still yet to post a snap of mine since I picked mine up last summer, purely because I havent taken the time to grab a proper snap so the dealer shot will have to do for the time being. I promise to update smile

Ha Ha! A special option for the Asian market only.

That was a photoshoot in Singapore for some blokey mag called 'B*llocks'. Or something like that :-) Huge fun.

I used to offer my car for all kinds of fun stuff - here's me posing (yes, again!) at Carcosa Seri Negara in KL, for the local ExPat mag. There was another one for the Asian issue of Top Gear if I can find it.

The Asians are dreadful car snobs - having Flash Metal there opens all kinds of doors. And certainly means you can park immediately outside any hotel and get the best restaurant table. I remember one day outside the Mandarin Oriental, when the immaculately-dressed front of house chap dismissively waved away some brand new Porsche so I could park the Countach in the premium place. It was very funny. What many people don't get is that Lamborghinis are meant to be funny.

I'm back in UK now and the most exciting place I've visited in the Countach this year is Tesco's car park. Not quite the same cachet, old boy.

In the UK this can work for or against you depending on who you are dealing with,

Took a elderly Silver Spirit to a pantomime at the Bournemouth Pavilion ,turned up late so no where to park,Hoping the parking

attendant would have mercy on us as was pouring down ,nodding his head he ushered us to the furthest parking space you could find.

A couple of weeks later same place same car but a different guy said ,you can't leave that lovely car down there, with that he waved us to

the steps of entrance , When we came out the Mayor of Bournemouths Rolls was parked just a little way down the drive giving

her a short walk to the entrance . Think we may have pinched her parking place. That's the English mentality for you,

Must admit always had positive reactions with Lamborghini's ,thumbs up, happy waving smiling faces unlike some of the cars i've owned .

Ha ha! All absolutely correct. I love the Mayor story - a correct outcome, as you paid for your car! :-)

I'm an Englishman but have lived in Asia and have a Chinese partner, so am fluent in both cultures. I'd NEVER try any kind of flash behaviour in the UK or Europe, it would be deeply uncool, and mark one out as a total d!ck :-)

I also agree that Lamborghinis get great reactions, whereas the Ferraris I've had previously, less so.

I recognise that only the great lottery of life has landed me in the position to have such glittering prizes. I always talk to bystanders, and let them, and especially their children, sit in my cars and take pictures. I also take care to be nice to junior staff I come across: that's where I differed to most of the 'rich Asians'. It made a huge difference.

The Countach though is hard work in the English country lanes where I live now. Is anyone on here selling a late Gallardo Spyder, preferably in something discreet like Arancio Borealis? That might replicate the fun but without all the hard work!

Cheers, Mark

Ha Ha! Thanks.

My grin is still there. Hanging in that tree.

Although I did retain a bit of it for my Unimog day, which was similar fun. Achtung! Digression alert!

A Gallardo would be a excellent choice to run along side the Countach , Maybe a diluted event in comparison but more suited

to the UK roads, you will find yourself using it more often and is quicker than my 400 S , had mine for 5 years now and is a manual

Despite having the wrong doors people still wave and talk to you unlike my F430 that gets the finger or wker sign .

Nice that you share the Countach with others, part of owning a super car, Only thing i found tiresome and can only think that

because it was yellow i was always being asked is it a kit car or a real one,

I’ve often thought that it’s a bit like a drug dealer giving free samples to get people hooked.

I will always remember, a long time ago, when I was really just a kid, Piet Pulford throwing me the keys to a Miura.
His only instruction was to bring it back........he knew exactly what he was doing!

I've done a lot of research and come to the same conclusion, and made sequential offers on three Gallardos this week. Friday is decision time!

I think everyone gets that tedious question, regardless of the colour! I always say I'm not sure, and invite them to answer the question themselves.

The other really BORING questions are:

1. What did it cost? (Answer: 'I can't remember, make me an offer.' Alternatively, 'Nothing, I stole it.')

2. What is the mpg? (Answer: 'Who cares?')

Cheers, Mark
