Have a proper first world dilemma and hoping for some help...

I currently have a 991.2 4GTS Cab and a F355 Berlinetta. I've only had the 355 for 10 months and adore it but unlike my previous 360 and 430 it doesn't give me the confidence of things not going wrong to take on a decent road trip. On the flip side, the Porsche is not special enough to do the road trip in. So I am thinking of selling them both and having one car - one that I can use as and when but will always feel special and more importantly is road trip suitable. I don't do a daily commute but will do 10k miles a year.

I want the roof down experience and some road manners, suspension that won't break your back down Kent/Sussex B roads.

To be clear I may be being very unfair on the 355, but that nagging feeling is taking the enjoyment away from the car.

So for up to 150k there are two cars which are being considered - a gen 2 Gallardo Performante or 2016 Huracan Spyder. Never scratched the Lamborghini itch and I fell now is the time. I would welcome people's views on either car, and particularly if anyone else has been in the same boat? Oh and colour wise, has to be orange, yellow or green....if you're going to do it might as well do it properly!

If £ is of concern, you won't lose as much on a Performante

No idea but having just watched “supercar superbuild” on the Huracan, that gets my vote. Watch it!

I can't quite answer your question fully due to lockdown driving restrictions but I went from an 08 Gallardo SL to a Huracan Performante last year. Both of mine were coupes as I am not a particular lover of open tops.

I love(d) them both but would not go back to the SL now.

I suggest you drive them both and make your own mind up. :-)

Interesting to read, I skipped a G SL/P and went straight to a HP last year, since owning the HP I wish I had spent some time with a G SL/P - that bad or simply the fact the HP is so damn good?

Personally for me, I think a Perf/SL G is a bit more special than a "normal" H. That said, the H has to be a "better" car, but do you want "better"?
