Thank you very much skittles and will try that fix.

Do you have contact details for Hubbard as I think I will get some on order.

I have the same and some nice white leather gloves! Would one of these wrenches work .. I believe it needs to be 600nm https://www.cromwell.co.uk/shop/hand-tools/torque-...

I think I can live without taking them off myself but what happens if you get a puncture at home or abroad. My nearest dealer is 70 miles away

I wonder if a friendly local porsche dealer/ indie would assist as they have similar.

Also there is some kind of pin you put in I've been told .. I don't think its straightforward.

Awesome looking car, congratulations.

Regarding your wheel socket - hard to tell but would a 3/4 or 1 inch torque wrench not fit in the back, or is it something more special?

Its the amount of torque needed I think thats the issue. I think I read somewhere that it needed to be rated to 600nm which is a lot!

Here you go. Worth getting in quick as he has quite a backlog. Phone is the best way. He does some incredible stuff with re trimming car interiors and is quite passionate about it so is happy to share pictures of his projects. Lovely chap.

We've got one for the tractors that is over 2000nm from memory so they must be out there! I'll try and find out what make it is... not sure it would fit in the car though!

Thanks Skittles .. one more thing do the cushions add much to your height in the car as my eye level is already not that much lower than the screen.

OK just read the posts below on wheel removal with the centre lock. It seems that it can be done easily at home .. who wants to give it a go first?!

Hi there. I did ask Gary this when I ordered it. He said you'll sit about an inch higher so probably similar (or a little lower) to the comfort seats

All this centre lock debate makes me glad I went with plain old wheel nuts.

I didn't get what I wanted on the 488 as over the past month prices seem to have moved further down again. I bought for £156k from JZM in October time and I've realised £136k now. The 488 is a fantastic car but I think there is a reluctance with some to like the turbo aspect of the car. Driving wise I'm a sucker for the noise of the car, it sounds like an FI car in corsa and the pops from the exhaust I love. I was a bit shocked by the very small front boot, much smaller than the 488, although there is a bit of space behind the seats. Mine has race seats which makes getting in and out a bit of a struggle and on my long drive home from the Cotswolds a bit painful on my back. However on the twisty roads they were fantastic. I have ordered some seat padding from demon tweeks. The nose lift is essential for me on the roads immediately near my home. It does feel a bit quicker and more responsive versus the 488 but its early days really. The ride is definitely harder even on strada.

Thanks for the comments .. I think I have enough to keep me occupied at the moment but a Diablo SV or Lancia delta integrale evo 2 would be very nice distractions! P.S. did you write an article for supercar driver magazine recently?
aah , No ,Why do you ask confused, to busy on here boring everybody ,besides i suffer from dyslexia and would take me a year to

write anymore than a couple of lines,

Strange, My knickname is unusal in the world of Super Cars and only picked it as i own 2 Hot Rods and post

on the American car thread as well as the Super Car one. If the guy is not a PH member he may have seen my knickname on here

or unlikely but he may also own a Hot Rod ???

I take it the magazine is for members only and not available else where. scratchchin

Well it doesn't tick THAT box....... Is it actually going to work today..... Will I make it to my chosen destination without the boot flying open.... Can I post on the forums about that ONE drive to the shops where the car made it back in one piece without fault....

Welcome OP, cracking spec!

Most questions covered however,

Wireless Android Auto is not really thing/hasn't been around long. Not sure why because AA is damn good, well at least it was last weekend on a S21 on a wired connection to the HP. I think AA development has been slow(?) compared to what car play is doing and how long that's been about/matured. I have a funny feeling AA nails your battery and presume its therefore great for short trips and for something longer, you should have the phone plugged in. I digress, for Wireless AA you need one of these: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aawireless#/ Previous linked ones are WIRED only which seems pointless confused

Top marks for the seat padding, this is the most concise info I have ever seen. I for one am a fan of the carbon seats but if you are not the right build/age I can see them not being great to live with. As mentioned Hubbard is your man, £420 for the pair when I asked. I would love you see a snap of what yours look like once you added your foam?

Centre locks are a Pain. Right now, phone Lambo recovery if you get a puncture out in the wild. As for DIY I am yet to find the right hardware as not had the time, let us know if you do find it and let us know. Having seen the process from afar, it was a two man job as you need to push/hold the locking wheel nut on at the same time iirc.

Not sure if it was covered, is that the PI car up for sale a little while ago? I remember seeing it and thinking it wouldn't hang about long. EDIT - just found your original post smile

Finally, welcome to the red CL nut club. Its rare, something I wasn't first sure about but over time has grown on me and suits a hard top/carbon seat spec car. Just be careful with them on removal, I suspect they could be very easy to mark.

The number of Perf's on PH is growing, we are going to need our own thread/pictures at this rate!
