Hi Folks,

Not long taken delivery of an LP560 Spyder and I have a question about seat adjustment. According to the manual both the driver and passenger seats can be adjusted for height via the buttons on the side. I have never needed to do this but my partner drove the car at the weekend, and as she is a couple of inches shorter than me and she needed to raise the seat height to see better over the steering wheel. We could not seem to get the seat to raise, when using the buttons the only adjustment that appeared to work was the seat tipped upwards, but it did not raise the overall seat height, this was the same for driver and passenger seats. The horizontal plastic button seems to move upwards at both ends, but pulling it at the forward end is the only place the seat does anything, when you press up at the back nothing happens.

In the diagram below it indicates the seat has only 1 plane of moment upwards so I don't think I am doing anything wrong.

Is this normal operation or not?

Morning, I think that (typically) a seat height adjustment pushes the rear of the seat upwards and the front, relatively, stays in the same position.

The problem can become that the seat is actually tilting forwards which is not always the desired effect,

I'm not familiar with your car but that the way it works on mine.

Thats what I would expect, just odd that its the same behaviour on both seats which makes me think that rather than actually raising the height of the seat I just get to chose how much 'incline' I would like smile

Just an update on this...looks like user error! It appears as the seat was so far back it could not tilt enough to raise the seat properly as the back would hit the bulkhead. It's a somewhat odd setup but it's sorted now.
