The lamborghini number plate bracket supplied for the Performante screws in horizontally underneath the front nose bumper and would never been seen unless you were lying on the ground looking up so should you ever wish to remove the plate no one is going to be offended by 2 small holes that you cant see.
Running no front number plate is ridiculous IMHO and what is even worse is attempting to put it somewhere else like the dashboard.
I don't know what gives some owners the idea they are beyond the law or superior to others by not displaying a legal number plate for what, Vanity ???
Cos they look st basically and ruin the lines of the car. Not had one on all my Masers. Super bikes don't have them and no one loses their st about that! Running no front number plate is ridiculous IMHO and what is even worse is attempting to put it somewhere else like the dashboard.

£50 fine for not having one, I'll suck that up. I've run them on many low cars and with a steep drive they rip off and can damage the bumper. It's not vanity at all it's just a personal choice.

I’m guessing insurance invalid, no payout but a slap on the wrist £50 fine for the driver
You could spend your time at the side of the road comparing whose vehicle has the cooler ‘lines’ with no pesky number plates.

Motorcycles haven't required a front number plate since 1975, and it is illegal to have a front plate on a motorcycle registered since 2001.Contigo said:

So what purpose does it serve then? If Bikes can get away with not being identified from the front why can't cars?I gather the front plate ban on bikes was the hazard of a longitudinally mounted fin on the front mudguard which was only visible from the side anyway - probably simpler to remove them than specify a big sail attached to the forks. Or you could blame the EU

Erm, because the law requires one of them to have a front plate, but not the other.

Think it’s also to do with pedestrian safety. A profile mounted plate on the front of a bike is essentially a blade. It also looks stupid (I ride a V2 street fighter - a front number plate would ruin the look of an otherwise reasonably nice looking sports bike!) Same argument doesn’t apply to a car.
I purchased a quick removable bracket for the front of my 488 because the plate always scrapes the ground as I approach the multi story at work. Forgot to replace the plate when I left work one evening and was stopped on my way back home. As soon as I got out of the car I replaced the plate and was allowed to continue my journey…
