Hi everyone,

Recent happy owner of a Gallardo performante spyder. Thought I had a handbook but I don't and just wondered where I can download a pdf or order a replacement one?

In the meantime if anyone knows how I can connect to Bluetooth that would be much appreciated? Also, can the roof only be operated when at a standstill? Mine won't go up if I'm pottering along in traffic which seems odd? Lastly, when in automatic mode the car sometimes goes into neutral when at a traffic light. More than a little embarrassing to rev the car loudly and not move as it catches me unawares!

Thanks in advance for help

Nice one, well done.
I had a Superleggera which is probably basically the same as a Performante.

I doubt the roof will lift on the move in a car of that age.

The gearbox will drop into neutral but you should get a chime when it does it so you're not left looking foolish.
I rarely drove mine in auto and got into the habit of selecting neutral at lights etc to save the clutch and also so I always knew I would have to re-engage a gear.

Thanks. That's helpful. Was just worried it might be a synchromesh issue (had this once with an X5 and cost a small fortune to fix). Good to know re roof. Have a Mclaren MP4-12C Spyder from 2013 (same age) and that activates when moving. Doesn't sound as good though!

Can close or open the roof when travelling up to 30mph if I remember correctly.

The car goes into neutral to save the clutch when left in gear at idle.

The headunit is a standard Audi RNS-E until, it should be simple to connect to your phone through the settings. Should be very similar to this process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_Up04UBJJ0

Re: Bluetooth.

You can connect your phone via Bluetooth for telephony functions. This won’t allow you to play music.

For that, you need this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bovee-Tune2Air-WMA3000a-B...

Which plugs into the accessory socket inside the glovebox.

Perfect. Thank you. Stupidly trying to connect through the head unit as opposed to adding through iphone

Incorrect - car has to be still.... or at least mine had to be.

OP - the 1st thing you should do every time you drive the car:

Put it in sport

Put it in manual.

Lol. Yes. I absolutely do. I own cars in a private mini club with an ex colleague and he was being a grandad in auto!

And surely even then you wanted to kill yourself after 2 minutes ? !

The reason E-Gear got such a bad rep IMHO was because it was so utterly woeful in standard auto mode...

EGear is not supposed to be used in standard auto mode at all. It is not an automatic. It is a robotised manual (same gearbox as a manual) and gears should be selected manually via the paddles.

Most of the bad rep is because people do not know how to use it properly.
