Would have thought that would need to be £20k cheaper to take a punt on it in the current market where there are a plethora of running and lower mile cars not selling for £10k more.

Agreed with Shnoz,

20k too expensive. Would make a fun project car for someone new to this hobby. But trouble after an engine rebuild says a lot about the quality of the work gone into it. Too many what ifs in my mind. The main question is whether the engine is salvageable. My pessimistic gut feeling is, it isn't.
Who would wrap their pride and joy in that colour?

And either the MOT tester couldn't see or the mileage was clocked back to 30k from 78k.

I think the safest thing would be to swap it out for a V8 something.

She is finally home. But what 250+ miles they were. Man its a rough car to drive. Especially in start stop traffic. But I love it. I could hear so many different sounds coming from engine bay behind me, the engine, the exhaust, the egear pump and others. My first drive in a gallardo so will know more about the car in due time. Didn't drive it wot as the cats need to go first. What an experience.

Beautiful, true cars are always agricultural in their nature at low speeds! smile

Thank you. I now understand what that means. There was some start and stop traffic on the motorway for a few miles and god that was a long time. But the drive was still phenomenal. I never pushed the car, except once when someone was signalling and wouldnt let go until i did smile

Guys how do I remove this? I am worried about damaging the paint. And it seems to be under the ppf frown
And it has a death grip from my initial attempts to peel it off.

Thanks. I will try with a hair dryer. I would need to make a badged style hole in the ppf then. Would it damage the rest of ppf?

If it’s got ppf over it, I’d be tempted to leave it, otherwise you’ll probably end up needing to sacrifice that area of film, or redoing that ppf section

Thank you. That's my worry as I don't want to remove the ppf without which it's not possible to remove the badge. It doesn't look as bad as I imagine a black car would.

Your car looks fab and I honestly think you are on diminishing returns with this one. If you can live with it, I would. No car is absolutely perfect so enjoy what you have, all IMHO of course!

Yea, I am a bit hesitant now to touch it as I think there would still be an outline fairly visible and I am still absolutely on edge about everything related to his car, dont want to break anything.

The ppf is now dark around some of the edges, i am thinking whether to do it some bits again by a specialist, e.g the wing. I can clearly see the film on the side mirrors now and am itching to remove it.

btw, big fan of your tutorials on LT forums. Fills me with confidence to work on my own car.
