Oh dear, I appear also to be an old timer - wooohoo!!

We sold Mums Mercedes SL and Dads MG ZT-T through the classifieds, wouldn't list my cars anywhere else.

I miss out on free advertising by 24 days. Damnnn. Not that I got anything to sell.

Looking forward to seeing the new classified. Will make the Friday game me and a few mates at work play when bored. Find a car for "insert max money" and must have at least "insert BHP". Must be good for "add activity this car must be good at."

Well done.

It is a shame so many trade ads for 'normal' cars appear though, If I wanted a pre-registered Chevrolet blando 1.0 I dno't think Pistonheads would be my first port of call!

Superb. I've always smiled when putting an ad up and finding its still free. Thought it was just luck or getting a few freebies

Can i make a suggestion that you seperate traders ads from private ads especially for parts/spares.

It gets very frustrating ploughing through pages of aftermarket alloys for exapmle before you get to the genuine private usueful items for sale.

Otherwise great news & well done on your success

I know you guys need to make money amd more power to you but will there be a box that I can tick that will deselect un-PH-type cars?

I understand that what is cool and what is not is relative to the person but you guys are smart, I'm sure you can find a PH lovers algorithm somewhere? Maybe based on searches or most viewed in the old classifieds and forums?

Not a rant at all, just a wee suggestion. Keep up the good work boys, 3 Huzzahs for the PH Team! Huzzah! clap
Very hard to do that specific thing to achieve what you want, but the new site will make it much easier for you to be far more specific in what you're searching for, and specifically is as strong at allowing you to exclude stuff. One of the downsides of the sheer volume of stock which we carry now is that it can be hard to see the wood for the trees. Which means that if you're selling a car through us, we're hopefully about to get even better at shifting it for you.

it was "milf's and gran's go at it proper" i thought

anyway, it would be nice to see better search on PH - I'd have thought eBay was 2nd to AutoTrader to be honest

they have almost 200k cars on there at the moment, ph is at 110k

AT also has some changes planned though i beleive wink

A great resource. I've succcessfully bought and sold cars through PH classifieds and it is the first site I turn to.

Can I suggest that for each manufacturer you offer a category that says 'Classics' it is a pain wading through 100 modern citroens while trying to find an old 2CV, BX or SM

I'm still miffed I browsed the site for a year or more before actually signing up to the fora.

I'd have been more than an old-timer, I'd be almost a veteran.

Well done PH's, Autotrader used to set the benchmark, now you do.

I dont advertise on autotrader any more and sold my last car from a paid advert through you.

£9.99 is very good value indeed!!

We should have qualified what we meant by second biggest; by traffic (specifically page impressions) we're now ahead of eBay Motors and behind Auto Trader. Those figures come from web measurement company Hitwise. By volume of cars for sale is a harder one to capture accurately.
