Only question from me... What's happened to the mobile site? Sorry if it's been covered already. I miss the ability to idly browse on the iphone whilst in Trap 2.
Ta!

Thanks for the feedback. We are going to do a "quick and dirty" re-scrape of the desktop site so that it can be used on mobile, and that should be here soon. We also have a completely new mobile site in build which we'll be showing prototypes of soon. It's been tested on users right from the start though - initially on a very small and very hard core group of PH forum users, before being opened up to a larger group.Ta!

I think that'll be fully launched during the early part of Q1 next year realistically, but you should have trap 2 browsing ability in a couple of weeks.

Hmm. I may have gone straight from edit photos to preview and missed that step. Will try again tomorrow.miniman said:
Pretty sure that was added to the wish list a couple of weeks ago.
Correct. Not done yet, but on the list.In fact on the old site it didn't actually work, since dipping into a category showed all cars rather than just the past 24 hours, but we'll look at it nonetheless.

Hi Stuart
Thanks for that, what the old site enabled you to do was see if any had been listed, although your are right it did then bring them all up.

I know. I don't deny the appeal of that view. A little more difficult to achieve now I'm told, but we'll certainly look at it.In fact on the old site it didn't actually work, since dipping into a category showed all cars rather than just the past 24 hours, but we'll look at it nonetheless.

Useful stuff, many thanks.
To answer the question about the cursor skipping back to the search box, the first two weeks of November are going to be dedicated to design and UX tweaks, so we're going to wrap this particular job up with a load of other stuff and get it done then.
In other news, trap 2 mobile browsing of classifieds will be in place on Monday, with any luck. We've just seen the prototype and we're mostly happy with it.

Classified images are still very small on mobile (Android using chrome browser) you can tell the colour. Not much other detail though.
Shame the total Cerberas for sale has now dropped to 14 from a around he mid 20s a few weeks ago. Only 1 private ad, all the others are dealers.
When I started looking for my Cerb all those years ago there was 69 odd. This has gradually dropped to a steady 29. Will be interesting to see if these increase as the mods are made. Or have all the others really been sold...

The current mobile site is rubbish, but a new one is coming with bigger and pinchable images soon.Shame the total Cerberas for sale has now dropped to 14 from a around he mid 20s a few weeks ago. Only 1 private ad, all the others are dealers.

One reason why it seems there are less is that we don't display sold ads as standard now, and the old site was actually not that good at removing ads after they'd expired.
Try ticking "show sold" and you'll see a few more.
Well I have to say the new format is very frustrating when viewed on an iPad.
I get the error message about 60% of the time when clicking on ads and when I do get into an ad it doesn't show any details of the car I clicked but 'recommends' other cars instead.
I've used PH classifieds a lot in the past but thankfully now im in Aus it's only to browse (I buy and sell via unique cars.com.au here) so no real damage done. Must be frustrating to other users though seeing as plenty of US and German classified sites cope with heavier traffic and full compatibility with Apple/Android etc...
