PistonHeads appoints site editor

Time to move up a gear, says PetrolTed

PistonHeads' owner and founder, known to all as PetrolTed, has appointed an editor for the site. New editor and long-time PistonHeads member Manek Dubash said, "I'm delighted to be trusted with helping to build the site that PetrolTed started from scratch just six years ago. I'm looking forward to the challenge of building on Ted's sterling efforts and making PistonHeads the most compelling and exciting site of its kind."

PetrolTed said, "PH has grown to the point where it cannot be a one-man band any more. It's time to shift up a gear. Appointing Manek as editor gives me time to develop the commercial and technical aspects of the site.

"PistonHeads has become a highly influential site for motoring enthusiasts and a respected brand within the motor industry. Manek is a professional journalist of 20 years' standing as well as being a car enthusiast and I know his experience and enthusiasm will help take us to the next level."

"2005 is looking like a very exciting year for PH and PHers!"

Sounds like an excellent decision - what better appointment could you get than a regular and well-respected PHer who is also an experienced journalist?

Congrats Manek. You must be the only person who has found buying a TVR to be a career move.

Congratulations, Manek, and well done Ted!

It's great to be part of such a lively and friendly community - PH is becoming a phenomenon, and as you rightly say, a brand in it's own right. I'm looking forward to the day when PH gets a mention on Top Gear as a well-respected motoring e-zine, and information and opinions from PH act as a barometer of what's happening in the UK motoring scene!

Echo all the above - congrats, and I'm confident that the two of you will make a good fist of expanding on this site's success in 2005!

Thanks all. Manek's already made a huge difference allowing me to catch up on some long overdue technical jobs and getting back up the learning curve with development issues.

I've got some very exciting ideas for 2005. Expect lots of new toys and facilities to appear within the site!
