I have spoken to ad-ops and the advert has been removed (again). I have been informed that the reason why the advert kept coming back has been identified, so fingers crossed that this is the end for the supersized Dacia ad.

It's Friday remember, just wait to see what gems are in store for the site tonight that won't be fixed til gone Monday. Friday is when all the classy ads come out of the woodwork.

It's much better now back to the standard ads covering the PH logo as normal

It's back. Maybe if I bought a Dacia it would go away.

I think you need to have a word with your ad-ops team:

How hard would it be for the PH IT bods to add code to reject oversized ads, rather than this cycle we are seeing?
A really, really cluey programmer could even make the auto-detection send a report to ad ops for them to ignore directly, thus cutting out the middleman!

This might end up in the legendary ph thread list!
Oh hang on, maybe not.
Anyway got to go. Unexplainable urge to go out and buy a 10 year old renault made in Romania.

As of today Pistonheads also seems to be trying to serve me up with something as a pop-up which Chrome is blocking.

Not to sound like a complacent Mac owner but I'm using a Mac so I very much doubt I've got some kind of underlying malware or browser issue.

Might be privacy.com thing that's mentioned in 2 threads in this forum. 2 threads that have so far gone completely unanswered by PH

As someone who makes their living selling Dacias, I thank you for the ads.

As a PH member, they're annoying!

Taken just now.

Yes I had one served to me this morning as well on PC Chrome. Just had time to kick in before it was blocked

Ok, enough is enough. It is obviously the policy to continue with this intrusive style of this Ad, despite words to the contrary from PH staff. I find it unprofessional, insulting and cynical that someone at PH central thinks it's in anyway acceptable to say one thing but do the other.

I'm on a iPad, using Safari can someone recommend me an ad blocker.

I installed uBlock Origin yesterday.

I don't mind ads as I get that "free" actually costs money, but it's clear the folks running the place simply don't have any kind of grip on what ads are being served up which concerns me.
