Rotating an Image

Hi guys apologies if this is a basic question:

I've posted images for the first time and the portrait images are rotated 90 degrees!

How can I turn them back?

Don't upload them from an apple product will solve the problem.

I always send them to myself as an email, open and save them on the iPad, and use the inbuilt software to rotate and crop the pic, then upload to photobucket, then copy and paste on PH.

Turn it 90 degrees the other way before you upload.
