This is a pain in the ass and I find I am not coming here as often to read or contribute to the site.

I brought this up a while ago and its still the same, its not my PC because it does it on several different systems I use in other locations.

I think its the adverts, they are slowing the site down and making it crap.

Adblock, sticking plaster maybe but whenever I've visited without one I've hated it.

I just came back to check on the lack of progress in this thread and as I re-read my OP I noticed I had put "ass" instead of "arse" like I meant to.

Not sure if "arse" would have prevented me from seeming American but I will try to be more careful in future.

As to the "long running script" its still doing it, if Adblock is the solution then when everyone uses it the advertisers will stop paying and the site will have revenue problems. Better to fix the problem now but keep discrete adverts that don't cause problems.
