Double posts

Why do my posts often take ages to go, then appear twice...?

I do NOT click twice......

You'll find you did click twice, how else would there be two posts? If it was a PH thing, everyone would be doing it.

It's the database waiting for an opportunity to do an insert. I'm working on it.

No I didn't.....

Having clicked once, the blank page hangs for a long time then (sometimes) moves on to the next screen, or requires back click to exit.....

Wondering if something's amiss with my IE.....

Wouldn't clicking back be the same as re-submitting the data, making the double post?

If the page seems to hang up and you press refresh it can do the post twice.

But not the hands-off-long-wait-here-it-comes-message-posted-back-to-topic......

And there it is twice....
