Ted,

Seeing as we've now taken over the Games forum (just gotta get that GTR thread out), is it worth creating a GT4 forum?

Cheers

Neil

Makes for an interesting potential new forum feature - ability to have sub-forums e.g. Computer GamesGT4 or Yesterday's HerosFord

I don't think there's a need for GT4 forum just yet but Miniman's idea is interesting. I'll give that some thought.

I'll tell you why I thought of it: I have been frequenting the Dolomite Owners Club forum recently, and it is, frankly, rubbish. I was wondering whether you could do a "branded PH" solution - but they have 4 or 5 forums.

I wondered if you could create a "Dolomite Club" main forum, and then stick subforums within it - and possiby restrict access so that only that main forum is visible via that URL, although I suspect you would want people to go into the others from a business point of view.

On that subject, what are your "parameters" for creating a re-brand PH? Is there a cost associated?

The criteria for providing a rebranded system are usually dependent on me having some advertising that is relavent to the rebranded site so that they get a free forum and i can show greater benefit to advertisers and have more space to sell. Either that or it's a 'PH' type subject and would help spread the PH word.

I'll be looking harder at this sort of stuff once the new version of the forums is live as it'll be more flexible than the current rebranding methods which are a bit 'clunky'.

The idea of collapsed/subforums is one that I am going to give some thought to though. That could be a useful addition.
