On the plus side I can now request a desktop version on my iPhone.

Hmmm. I'll not do that again then.

PH was bad enough on the GTI skin, whatever this new thing is please stop.

Even GTI was better than this rubbish. If you're paying a designer to do this, fire them. They have not got a clue.

I can't work out who's saying what in quotes. The new colours are 'odd'. The green reply button looks out of place. I think you got it completely wrong biggrin

I love PH and would be lost without it, is there any chance you could declare the changes a late April Fool's Day joke and go back to how it was before? Then hire some website designers, use an 'off the shelf' solution, poll members on the best colours/fonts/layout options and make us all happy?

I don't mind the font size/style (desktop) but whitespace has gone from being overly condensed to massively overstated, do we really need 3-4 lines of white space top and bottom of each post?

pale blue in places like username, and here in reply for example 'Formatting Help' Smilies' ec etc, do they need to be a different colour at all?

I am having trouble with the new font too, on Firefox 52.0.2 at 1920x1080 resolution with 110% scaling (upscaling or downscaling doesn't make a difference at the non-extreme ends). I really can't put my finger on whats wrong with it but I am finding it difficult to read, particularly when reading one of your own posts on the blue background. It is as if some of the lines in the text are thinner than others and it is really off putting, surely using a more conventional font such as new times roman or Arial would be better?

I do like how quotes are no longer showing up blue in your own posts, that's a worthwhile fix that really needed done on the new style. Personally I see GTI+SSL as a good enough trade off although I really wish you kept with BigBlue or Classic.

From the top down

Why change the colour of the page numbers

Next two down - What's the difference between a bold purple topic and a bold blue one?

Oh and all of them have been viewed to the end of new posts

next two - If the pages numbers are split first in purple last in blue what is going on with

Politics in France 1 is purple rest (2,3 & 4 are blue)

Tim who 1 is purple rest (2 & 3 are blue)

Last one so why is the only thread where I know I've viewed all the latest posts not highlighted like the others I know I have read

Next screenshot

I used to think the last visit jump to post thing worked reasonably well (as long as it was really a new visit and not back to a tab)

When I do get put in the newest post area of a thread I'm reading

Does it need to be red - because its now making me notice how inaccurate it's knowledge of where the newest post actually is.......

The quoting is now beyond broken as it quotes differently if you are being quoted. eg this should screw up B'stard Child's quote but only for him

This is fantastically terrible. I feel like I'm posting in early 2000s forums all over again.

Also, just to test:

This is how those of us who were used to the PH Classic "skin" felt a month ago when GTI was forced on us. Welcome to the club. smile

At least everyone is in the same boat now.

Obviously not happy with only annoying 0.2% of people who hadn't noticed that the default skin had changed (I wasn't aware there even *was* another skin until it changed to the "you've not logged in skin" aka GTi) they decided to be all inclusive and annoy those users as well.

If the dev team could please let us know when they've finished screwing it upchanging things I'll write something in stylish to resize things so I don't feel like I'm on my 5 year old daughters tablet and get to use more than the 20% of my screen as the rest is wasted with masses of whitespace and comically large buttons.

Why does it take me to the last viewed point which is never actually the last point I viewed a thread.

For example I clicked on this one for the first time in a few days and it take me to a post a couple of hours ago.
I don't think this is a new bug.

I also think that it behaves differently in "my stuff" and "what's new".
