That one looks more like a typo - extra space.

Have I missed any updates from the 'team' because I can't recall seeing anything for a good few weeks on what they're doing, although clearly stuff is being changed all the time, is it so hard to have a weekly update?

Nope. They've done nothing: 'Official updates'.

No problem on other apps! frown
Is it on the list for this year?

It's even more frustrating when you hit the Delete button once and it locks the button down and deletes your whole post!!

I must be in a minority, because it seems ok for me on ipad and computer. Didn't like the interim version just after this thread started, but then it suddenly changed for the better.

Cannot say i understand the meaning of the various shades of blue and purple on the page listing the threads to view, but hey, its free and I find it a useful place to keep up with acquaintances, find out about car events my friends are attending, and get answers to car problems.

My wife is, however, beginning to wonder why the top of the page is regularly adorned with scantily clad females advertising skimpy underwear. She thought I was looking at a car website.....confused The What Car, or AA adverts only happen when she is not looking.

I just need two things fixed now.

Firstly, the bug where your posts are highlighted in blue, but replies to your posts (where people quote you) are not highlighted. This used to work, and now doesn't. It means that I can't skim a thread looking for replies.

Secondly, I am also getting a lot of inappropriate adverts for things like Russian brides or dating sites. Before the jokes start - I do not browse anything even remotely like that on my computer. I would like to understand what algorithms are being applied here, and get them fixed. Trust me, I am not the target market for any of this stuff. It is extremely embarrassing when SWMBO comes over and looks at the screen. This is meant to be a website for car enthusiasts.

It is strange that Haymarket seem to spend a lot of time fretting over the use of inappropriate language or images in forum posts, yet are happy to plaster the site with adverts like that.

A lot of fixes have gone in and the site is now usable again. Can the developers please keep the updates coming, or if not, at least make a statement that this thread will not be updated any more, to avoid misplaced expectations?

.....and that's the bargain basement ones..... (oops, I wasn't looking, really)
Last night the advert was a female wearing a number of lengths of black tape and two small drain plungers.
I was going to show Erin Dawes, but then thought better of it.....getmecoat
A quote about Queen Victoria came to mind...just in time.

After all, I do need to keep the peace - she has agreed to come on a TVR car club event in Scotland with me in two weeks time.
600 miles of draughts, noise, vibration, and no heater worth talking about except on a hot day in traffic, when the V8 heater suddenly becomes all too obvious.
Not to speak of my over-use (in her opinion) of the overtaking pedal. Well, 395 bhp and a turbo - it would be rude not to..... whistle

Last time she did a club day with me was a track day at Cadwell Park in 2014 - and she forgot to bring a change of underwear.
Which brings us neatly back full circle - perhaps those adverts will come in useful after all - she does like a bit of shopping, and they MUST do some sensible knickers..... frown

A) use adblocker and you won't see any ads
B) why would Haymarket care about the moral aspects of what makes them money, after all their phonesafe fkup is still not fixed after years of people asking for a simple fix being a note saying "be careful this isn't a regular number". That's all people want yet it's technically impossible for them to implement it.

Auto-resizing of large pictures, and auto-thumbnailing of pictures when quoting.

When is this functionality going to be added back in again? And why was it removed in the first place?

This has been asked for multiple times in this thread, almost from the beginning of the switch over, without any acknowledgment from the staff.

Well they're the only threads with new activity since 14:45. So the content does fit the page heading.
Was it what's new since visit you clicked on?

Up at the top right it says What's New 3 12 24

Click 3 12 or 24 to go earlier, it will produce multiple what's new pages. I think it was a dropdown in classic skin.

Are quotes getting fixed?

I assume I'm not alone in any of your own posts being quoted not being coloured to stand out.
