Apologies chaps, it's James Drake who's left. It's hard to know who's who on here and what they do. Or don't do.

How much did Haymarket pay for PH exactly, don't they have a vested interest for it to work?

Surely there is enough skill and resource amoungst the users here for a PH2 to evolve....... by the people, for the people!! idea

On an aside when I have accidentally clicked on an add, it takes me away from PH rather than opening a new page, isn't this seen as a very negative thing in terms of keeping your customers on site?

I'm sure that mere mortals like me could never get this close to the inner sanctum before?

Yep - when topics get pulled pending discussion that's what we all get

I take it that the request for the topic link to take you to a consistent place (say the last page of that topic) rather than a random one is still open.
I also assume that the request for a link to the sub forum, or to the top of the page on the mobile site is also pending....

Last page randomness is being discussed here - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... .

There is a link to the subforum on mobile - up arrow next to the title.

On the second point, yes there is, but it's at the top of the page which is a lot of scrolling away. A short cut to the top of the page and / or links to the sub forum at the bottom is what I'm after..... Like there used to be.

If there's anybody out there please fix the quote all icons disappearing in Safari. Please.

It's just changing the case of a single character, but this has been bust for years.

There is a PH2 it's called Blatters and was made by PetrolTed.

Probably going to get banned for this...

Blatters is like everything people on this thread have been moaning about, but 10x. It's so sparse and disjointed.

I have signed up for Blatters. The people are nice, but I do find it difficult to navigate. It looks more like twitter than a web forum.
Crap is maybe unfair, some parts of it are nice, but certainly I do prefer PH.

I signed up on blatters a while back and have tried to like it, returning several times but it just doesn't seem to flow like a nice simple forum format does. Simple is best as far as i'm concerned, which is what PH was and potentially still is if someone could be arsed to fix it!

Why can't we now scroll back historically in the "My Topics" ?

I wanted to update / close a thread I started one or two weeks ago, and I can't find it under 'My Topics' anymore.

Do you not see the 0-30, 30-60 days bit? If so you will need to say what browser you are using and other details.

Anything being addressed?

Add to the list, although I guess it's probably already been reported:

Nope.

Several people have mentioned this (including me) and there has been no official response.
This is definitely my biggest gripe.

Mine too.

The silence is deafening.

I'm being too harsh though, we should be thanking those behind the scenes, because this whole thing has been a masterclass in how not to do it.

Remove functionality that actually adds to the quality of user experience and makes forum easy to use. Well done! thumbup
