Unpaid interns all gone home?
Is it just coincidence that most of the changes happened over the Easter holidays, and there has not been a single update since the holidays finished?

I think it's fair to say they are "done and dusted" on this now sadly.

I just popped onto The Oatmeal to grab a link to a pic I wanted to post elsewhere, and whilst I was there noticed this one.

(I've censored out the sweary words as the mods get a bit puritanical about it)

Though to be fair what every major news outlet is actually doing is turning both their mobile and desktop websites into an impossible mess of slow loading adverts, multi-page photo essays (I use the word advisedly) and click bait, so they are at least trying to offer a consistently st experience.

I think he was the one that threatened to ban me because I started a thread asking who was in charge. He was quite upset about it.

When Ted or Stuart ran it you knew who the boss was and they set the tone, since them I've had no idea who or what is running the place.

I agree the mods must be totally fed up. Thank god they don't quit otherwise it would be completely pants.

I meet Ted infrequently for the odd curry, etc., but I always avoid asking what his views are on the current state of PH.
I suspect he's disappointed.
I'm too new to remember the good old days, but miss them nonetheless. hehe

Shame really, ruined partly by a guy using his position as a stepping stone to gain access to pastures new.

Are the details of the PH development team public knowledge? I assume enhancements are contracted out and the budget is very small. The rate of progress implies one person works on it for a couple of hours a month.

If these details were made public then people might be a little more understanding. They might even offer to top up the development fund or offer their services for free.

Is there still actually a PHs office somewhere?

I seem to remember there being some kind of David Brent esque industrial estate near Heathrow or Swindon where it was all based?

Presumably there's storerooms and stuff for all the PH merchandise or does that just come from a supplier?

It'll be a complete dogs dinner, but there's so much generous IT expertise here there's no need for this to be such a fk up.

Didn't you see his post thanking members for their help and contributions over the last 2 years or so, saying he was going to miss this place but was very grateful for the experience, and he hoped he left this place in a better state than when he started?

Rumour has it there's a vacancy at Uber.

Yes he has.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think the forums are that bad to use.
Yes, I preferred it before, however some changes were made and while not every issue has been resolved, many of them have been.
We as posters and car enthusiasts still use the site.

i can't think of another non-chavvy site like Pistonheads that has such a wide variety of members.

Let's not throw stones at our own glass house, eh?
