Hello PHers and welcome to your new look forums!

I just popped onto The Oatmeal to grab a link to a pic I wanted to post elsewhere, and whilst I was there noticed this one.
(I've censored out the sweary words as the mods get a bit puritanical about it)

Though to be fair what every major news outlet is actually doing is turning both their mobile and desktop websites into an impossible mess of slow loading adverts, multi-page photo essays (I use the word advisedly) and click bait, so they are at least trying to offer a consistently st experience.(I've censored out the sweary words as the mods get a bit puritanical about it)
I think he was the one that threatened to ban me because I started a thread asking who was in charge. He was quite upset about it.
When Ted or Stuart ran it you knew who the boss was and they set the tone, since them I've had no idea who or what is running the place.
I agree the mods must be totally fed up. Thank god they don't quit otherwise it would be completely pants.

Are the details of the PH development team public knowledge? I assume enhancements are contracted out and the budget is very small. The rate of progress implies one person works on it for a couple of hours a month.
If these details were made public then people might be a little more understanding. They might even offer to top up the development fund or offer their services for free.

Didn't you see his post thanking members for their help and contributions over the last 2 years or so, saying he was going to miss this place but was very grateful for the experience, and he hoped he left this place in a better state than when he started?I notice he hasn't posted a thing in over 30 days...
Rumour has it there's a vacancy at Uber.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think the forums are that bad to use.
Yes, I preferred it before, however some changes were made and while not every issue has been resolved, many of them have been.
We as posters and car enthusiasts still use the site.
i can't think of another non-chavvy site like Pistonheads that has such a wide variety of members.
Let's not throw stones at our own glass house, eh?
