Finding pictures from old posts

Hi Ted et al.

I was hoping to find a picture that appeared on a thread back in October '04. However, the picture now has a "red X" in its place. I assume that means the picture is no longer in the same location.

Is there any chance of finding it again?

The thread in question is:

The picture, an artistis impression of the '06 Maserati Coupe, was posted by Chris N (3 posts up from the bottom of the 1st page).

I've tried searching the internet without success, so it'd be great if the picture is sat on one of your servers somewhere.

Sounds like the originator deleted it from his host.

All I would suggest if you have found the thread is try to mail the originator of the post.

I also was searching high and low, awhile back, although unable to even find a red cross,

Got as far as a dead end with a message at fotango about
'account moved' or some such.

fortunately, mailing via a few profiles, prompted someones memory of an event i was at, and the pic was mailed over really quickly, hope you find yours

Maybe try [url]www.archive.org/web/web.php[/url]. I've found that useful for finding old pages on other sites...
