I'm going to offer an alternative scenario. Many, supposedly 1/4, but from what I've been educated likely near 1/3 are inflicted with mental health problems/ depression/ anxiety/ etc etc. These individuals shall be riled, upset or stressed far more easily than you. They don't ask for this, their illness dictates it. When you suffer with mental health little things can irrationally become a big deal.

Everyone (and I include myself in this statement, I can slip up) has a responsibility to address others in a decent manner, even if they disagree with them.
This.

Excellent post.
Thank you.

Some of us grew up in the "sticks and stones" era, we don't need to go running to the mods every time we read something we disagree with.

Others are a little less equipped to deal with things they don't like it seems.

Let's be positive please.

This Forum is excellent

Some Forums have been taken down by the government because they were so out of control.

Not so, your retort is turning what I said on its head. You don't have to have mental health problems to be upset, but if you have them it potentially adds problems to the mix.
But why raise that point unless you wanted to associate disagreement with mental health? The other poster was applying his own imagination to how people are typing their replies and you then built on that imagined scenario.

No they haven't, unless you can list some as evidence of this.

Some forums gave up after being threatened with legal action over illegal content, which is not at all the same thing.

Genuine question, don't you feel embarrassed having to ask the mods to sanitise the internet for you?

It's certainly not as catchy as Pistonheads. But feel free to create such a forum.

You're reading it wrong.

You can have mental health issues and agree, or disagree, but when you disagree you're more likely to get into an argument about it (I rarely argue when I agree with something, don't know about you), and then of those who disagree, some may have mental health issues and that can affect the intensity of their response. That's all. And look at me, you've got me going on this subject again and I already said I'm supposed to be doing college work, it's all YOUR fault!

I’m surprised you need to ask that question as I thought I was a well known snowflake who is scared of his own shadow and emanarassed by everything g about my life.

The real answer is, not in the slightest. If there is content that I see as over the line, then I see it as totally reasonable to report it, just as the OP of this thread does. If the mods see it as acceptable, then they will leave it be. However, as FourWheelDrift has stated, the one post I reported mid afternoon yesterday was removed almost immediately and the one I reported late yesterday was removed first thing this morning.

That says more about the content of those posts than anything else IMO.

I don’t embarrass easily either, do you? Or would that ironically make you a snowflake?

Why haven’t you asked the same question of the OP, or others on the thread who have stated that they’ve reported threads too?

I'd be mortified if I felt I needed someone else to make life palatable, it's only words. Just think "prick" and carry on with your life.

I only ask as you seem to be more offended than is normal.

Would you like to report that comment to the moderator of mods?

You have an overly high opinion of yourself if you think I follow you around, you do seem to complain a lot though.

Everyone's bloody 'offended' these days, nothing actually happens if you are though.
