Maybe we have one already, maybe we don’t. I thought it may be worth listing the bot accounts....of course the mods may disagree.

I wondered about the 'bot or not bot' question, even reported one of them, but I've since come to the conclusion that rather than bots they're just as likely to be contributors who suffer from aspergers, autism or similar.

I had wondered this myself. Could we really differentiate between the posting style of a genuine bot or a severely autistic poster?

The posting style would likely contain many similar elements, such as asking inane or unrelated questions to the topic, one line replies that add nothing to a discussion and naming your account after a city in California.

There is a middle ground...

A user playing with a bot and then tuning / validating / adding to the suggested post - combination of Robotic Process Automation techniques and basic AI.

So yes it's a human clicking on "submit" - possibly - but the bulk of the content is AI generated.
