Can you get banned from sub forums? I know you can be banned from threads and PHs itself.
Ive definitely seen a few people turn up over the last few months posting strong political opinions that look like returned banned posters. It seems unlikely that people would join a car forum and suddenly be arguing about politics from entrenched positions.
Perhaps though, google searches are leading them here?

As shown on other threads, they are not particularly bright.
These accounts tend to be easy to spot as they haven't been a member for very long. When picking their garage they tend towards rather obvious sports car choices to try and give an exaggerated impression of how sucessful they are.

There are plenty on here who don't camouflage themselves from their former/banned personae very cleverly at all.
Personally I cannot stand the accounts which simply spend all day every day picking on threads where they try to completely belittle the OP and then start a fight with whoever will rise. There's one in particular who seems to spend their whole time finding threads where they can go back through the OP's profile and previous posts and then use that information to post something snarky to try and get a rise. They never ever post anything constructive or useful, and if you call them out on it, then that simply gives them the excuse for a separate side-fight, which they relish even further. And I've risen, occasionally. But now, perhaps to my personal detriment, I just refuse to open threads where such a poster is noted beside it in the list. Means I don't join in with as much as I may have done previously but it's really not worth it.
