How does it determine the ad?

I'm 34. I'm not worried about falling into the senior style trap yet. Load of ste.

I wonder what they paid for the privilege of posting the worlds sttist adverts.
And does anyone click that crap? I'd be fascinated to know the click-through rates (and the subsequent bounce rate/length of the page visit which is what actually matters more, ie. not someone who clicked it accidentally then clicking 'back').
It works on the "new" web, but it would be interesting to see if it works on an old-school site like this.

Don't forget a lot of people browse the internet from one "10 best unflushable turds" list to another without ever looking at a real site.

I must admit that for the first time I've started using an adblocker on PH now - mine is actually set just to filter out the Sponsored Content for the moment. I don't mind ads, they're a necessary part of the web, but they should fit the site properly.

Couldn't agree more, I've found things and bought things from adverts that have suited the site they were on but this click-bait crap is intolerable.

If there is an ad out there more likely to rile your average PHer than this filthy jackey looking fekr, I'd be amazed.
Funny as hell!

This annoyed me so installed crystal ad blocker on iOS but now can’t upload an image as it blocks that too. Any suggestions?

I still have blokada installed and it's running with the same settings as yesterday when the ads were nicely blocked. It seems they have come back today though, anyone else seeing this?

Edit: They've gone again now, presumably cached or something.

I've been using the internet for years and multiple forums. I've never felt the need to have an advert blocker app or software...until now. Well done PH, I've finally been pushed over the edge.

It is starting to wear me down: I am actually starting to think equity release is the thing to do.

I have ad-blocker plus and it didn't stop them on safari. I installed crystal add blocker and that worked a treat for me so happy days. Still really annoying, the adds aren't even relevant to anyone either.

Why is it so difficult to block ads on Android? Because Google?

Nothing seems to work! Grrh.

Blockada above just keeps cycling on/off.

I've uninstalled Blokada now, may have to look into an alternative browser to Chrome Beta.

I got mine from Play - aside from it not working all the time I'm also not sure I want it running all the time or having to remember to fire it up if I'm planning to visit PH.

Hmm OK try directly from their website as they can't host the full featured one on play because Google rules. That's the one I'm using.

Yep, install direct from Blokada. Or try Brave browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com....
