So, any update on this really cheap tacky click bait being removed?

It's a very sad state of affairs for Haymarket if they can't attract a more upmarket kind of sponsor.

Just to say Adblock Plus does work for this sponsored content on Firefox on a desktop.

I have stopped the adblocker on some other sites as the ads were not intrusive and this is after all how they make cash.

I have not been able to remove the sponsored content on my phone (not overly worried, do not spend much time there) - so when the sponsored content is removed from here I can stop the adblocker!

Yes it's completely stopped on my desktop on Chrome when you un-tick the some adverts.

Again if you're using Safari on your iphone then Cyrstal Add blocker on the app store worked for safari.

Install 'Adblock Plus; https://adblockplus.org ...

... then in settings, ensure you untick the "Allow some non-intrusive advertising " box.

Job jobbed.

I’d be more interested to see a list of people who’d actually seen the ads, thought “that looks interesting” and actually clicked on one.

I was going to say, it's not the adverts, but how appalling they are.

Also, because the 'next unread post' thing doesn't work, you often do a lot scrolling and click next/previous which are now not at the bottom of the page.

Add that to the adverts mid thread, it's becoming increasingly unusable. This will just drive people away.

That's uBlock Origin highlighting the ads and tracking that's going on on the page.

To those on Android who want some blocking, try Brave browser which I linked to yesterday (might work with iOS too, I don't know).

So that's a slow clap for the PH decision makers.

Congratulations, you are reducing traffic to your website.
