I'm trying to browse the classifieds. Every time I move a page, I have to wait for big adverts to load before the classifieds are load.
Once you finally get to where you want to be, a starting great video of some ste covers 1/3 of the screen, including all filters / navigation bits.

I realise you're funded by ads, but surely they don',t need to be this intrusive? I've literally given up and am now looking on autotrader.

Either try downloading the Brave browser which lots of people have switched to to make PH usable, or even better just forget about using the PH classifieds altogether.

I've bought and sold around 8 cars over the past two years. I've never even considered using PH classifieds, even for browsing.

Bought my last two cars of PH and the on before that off AT having browsed both.

However the recent adds are stupidly intrusive and low grade.

As others have said, swtiched to Brave on my phone, basically Chrome (same base code) but with add blocking. Currently tolerating it on the desktop which I use a lot less, bit this would likely change if actually buying a car.

Just downloaded the Brave Browser! Works so much better than Adblock!

Me too, but how long before youre unable to view this website if using an add blocker... it does feel like the beginning of the end..

Chrome with several ad block extensions, I don't see any ads ever on any site.

thanks that's better.

Daft because I accept there'll be ads to fund the site - but I struggle to concentrate on text when there's some animated nonsense in my eyeline. (Apparently this and other traits I'm told suggest an attention deficit disorder so I'm being victimised y'all. fecking stoppit with the oppression.)

Serious question - how much money would users have to contribute to switch all these dreadful adverts off for good?
I'd happily pay £10 a year to not have ads and also have a forum that was maintained.

bad idea, Haymarket would want £100 the following year to renew

How many others feel the same, and how little do Haymarket actually make from this advert infestation? I wonder what the sums are?
The more people that block, the more adverts there are for those who don't. It's the only way to make the sums work.

Most of the internet had the worst of this problem a few years ago and found alternative methods. Some ask users to whitelist the site in return for a promise that ads wouldn't be invasive (and respond promptly to ads that slip through the net). Others offer a subscription to remove ads and enables extra features on the website. And others post more sponsored content.

We all know from this forum that Haymarket are behind the times with web tech so we'll probably need to wait another few years before we see some improvements.

This is fking rediculous, now we're losing the footer navigation at the bottom of pages for EVEN more adverts!! What a joke.

I tried to click reply on this topic and was just faced with a full page advert instead!

Enough is enough PH, I'm off.

Can't you just block everything? I don't see a single ad or pop up on here ever

That works nicely, and given PH is free from elongated signatures and simple profiles once the acres of ads are removed it is quite good to use..

You shouldnt have to download a third party app to allow you to browse a website using its own navigation buttons, End of.

Maddness. Don't see it as I am using Brave with add blocking now but as said, it's the beginning of the end.
