Why doesn't your profile show your full name then? confused
Click on my website, check who’s full name is in the title bar of the browser, check whois for the domain, google my name, linked in, ebay, youtube - you can find posts from me going back to 1997.
I’m an IT guy who does security - I could easily spoof loads of stuff, but I choose not to - it keeps you honest.
I just checked your profile , then googled mega squirt!
I’ll be back in five minutes.

Fair enough. I just thought it slightly ironic, that's all. smile

AdBlock Plus gets rid of it (once set to reject all, of course!)
Mine doesn't.

Did you have to input something to it?
I added "pistonheads.com##.qc-cmp-persistent-link" and it seems to have done the trick.

Adblock > Block Element
Thank you

Why are my settings which have been clearly communicated to the site owners not being respected? Why do I need to keep rejecting all the advertisers every few days as seemingly at random they reset.

I imagine they've made it so the choices are session-based and not keyed to user account rofl

https://www.gov.uk/data-protection/make-a-complain...

This link tells you how to make a complaint about breaching GDPR, which ignoring and resetting privacy settings, without the knowledge of the user almost certainly is.

Complaining in here seems to make no difference, but I suspect a few complaints through that link might get things looked at.

I use AdBlock Plus on desktop and haven't seen the blue button.

AdBlock Plus on the iPhone removes the ads at the bottom of the page when on mobile but doesn't touch the blue button.

I came here to complain, but instead I found a solution. AdGuard has fixed the problem.
Thanks guys.

I have found a use for the little blue box, it tells me when the page has stopped jumping around and is fully loaded, so I can relax and not waste my time trying to click on things that are suddenly somewhere else.

Every cloud and all that..........

It's quite funny really.

People who were putting up with the adverts are now so pissed off with the blue tab they are blocking everything.

Talk about shooting yourself in the face.
