Surely, *surely* someone tested this?

I've also turned everything off but the extremely annoying "Privacy Settings" is still popping up. For the love of God, please exterminate it.

Instead of moaning report it to the ICO it's the only way they'll take notice

An unwelcome side effect of GDPR. So sick of all the emails insisting I accept pages of updated terms and conditions, cookie request confirmations on every site, sometimes multiple times, sometimes on every visit. This stupid thing just takes the biscuit though.

I'm up for that.

What is the actual ICO issue though?

Thanks.

Asked for advice from case worker in ICO. 3rdtime today after selecting reject all that have gone back and some have either switched back on, or newly appeared with default to on.

It’s not after a while, it’s instant!
Reject all, go back to forum, open settings and they’re all back on again

Edit: just found the save and exit button further down... let’s see how long it lasts now!

Save changes. Then go back in and click cancel and it then all reverts back. Shoddy. Cancel means do not change anything!!!,

Came here to post a thread complaining of this issue myself! Very annoying have it sat there covering the buttons I use.

I just checked mine again, having disabled them all on this machine yesterday, only to find some have been enabled, not all, just a "random" selection all the way down the list.

To me that's even weirder than a badly implemented script that enables them all again, how is being selective and why?

If they add more of these leaches to their list of advertisers will they be enabled by default or is the mechanism clever enough to know I've opted out of all?

If I scrolled down were loads enabled again but in no specific pattern, they seem to all have stayed off for now though.

Agreed there were others. At first I thought it was me, accidentally changing stuff when scrolling through the list, but then you came along with an example of the exact same two which changed on mine. Suspect it's not the accidental fat finger changes when scrolling then. Again they do seem to be staying off now, unless you press cancel in which case all then set back to on.

Still piss poor implementation which may be outwith the rules, needs an expert to comment though.

So if you cancel, you're taken back to the initial intro dialog, and the only way of closing it is by clicking "yes, that's ok" which turns all of the adds back on again.
Incredibly poor.
