Just noticed this.

It's just one thing after another with this place.

Yeah, filling in the yellow search box and searching just took you to the search page with the background photo to fill it in again. But they can at least put a link to the search page on here.

It's either the forum tab working again, or the search button.

Hi guys,

I can confirm this has been removed on mobile for consistency, but we are working on bringing it back - just need to find the right place for it.

In the mean time, you can do a google site search which should return good results;

For example, if you're searching for "Ford Focus RS", type in on Google "site:www.pistonheads.com Ford Focus RS"

Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience!

You might want to pin this topic - may get lost at the bottom and it’s not like people can search for it...

There is easily space for one more button in the bottom bar, amongst My Stuff, Forum etc

Not anything to do with PH Towers but has anybody else noticed when searching anything on Google now the results look completely different. Seems results are top heavy with what looks like promoted content with only maybe 6/8 results on page 1.

It’s damn rubbish without the search facility, the whole point of forums is that they are a source of information; removing search is a bit like taking Concorde out of service without a replacement.

Backward step and find I don’t come on here very often anymore as it isn’t user friendly.

Any update on this please?

Still no search on mobile site - pretty poor effort really.

Bump. Any update on this? It's a pain to have to use google for this - PH is the only forum I've come across where this is necessary.

One workaround I've found is that my phone goes out of mobile view for PH in landscape, so the search link is there then.

Will be bookmarking pistonheads.com/search

In the meantime, c’mon guys how hard is it to add a link to the search?!

Any chance of it being fixed soon? It's a bit of a PITA having to faff around with workarounds just to use what should be core functionality.

Appreciate the underlying search will still be about as much use as it alway was (why is it still so bad?) but it's better than nothing.

I found this by trying to find the search using google....

Forums are a lot better with a search option.
