(FIXED) Font sizes

The zoom thing just happened to me reading this thread:


I am able to move the view around to see the rest of the page, but am unable to zoom out. Reloading the page cures it.
I don’t know how it happens, I didn’t try and zoom in.

Yes, not got a screenshot but the same happened to me earlier, only way out was a restart of Safari.

I have been playing about with this on my iPad. If I zoom in then I am unable to zoom back out past the point in my screenshot above. I can still zoom in further but never back out to the normal view. A refresh of the page does not cure it. The only way to get to the normal view is to load a different page or to restart safari.

Only happens on my iPad, the android phone is okay.

I have tried a few other websites and forums and none of them have the same issue.

Same issue here. iPad running current iOS.

I can pinch and widen screen but cannot pinch and return to original size.

Started three days ago. Closing browser, clearing history cache etc does not fix issue here.

Seems to be iPad only. I've replicated it on mine.

I'm wondering if it's our inconsistent use of viewports on different parts of the site so I'll investigate further.

I'm not seeing a change to font sizes, however.

Seems to happen on my iPad if I switch apps and to the site using chrome.

I’ve tried three different browsers on my iPad and they all have the same problem.

Same on my ipad (as scrump above). I thought it was me until I saw this thread. Sry annoying. The only way to reset it is to go back to the main menu then reload the thread that it occurred on.

Another scenario perhaps. When switching from portrait to landscape while on the site this happens. Will also happen if you manage to accidentally briefly touch the screen a couple of times. Under normal circumstances this is fine as it would zoom but it's not possible to restore to normal sizes.

I also have this problem using Brave on my iPad. About the same time, I also acquired another problem in that I now need to press the back symbol 3-times to make it happen.

I thought that the issue was Brave, rather than PH. I have reinstalled Brave, but it made no difference to either issue.

Yup. Same here. Accidentally hold my thumb down and it zooms in. This seems more sensitive than a deliberate attempt to zoom in. However, it is impossible to zoom out agin, I have to leave the thread and go back in.

Moderators: this is getting very irritating, and makes the site tedious, and almost unusable. Please fix ASAP.

This is on an iPad running iOS 12.4 and it also happened before update to 12.4
Browser is Safari, but the fault also occurs when using Firefox, Chrome, and Opera mini browsers.

Please hurry up. This is a hopeless situation. Virtually every thread visit has to be re-visited three or more times to go and come back in to re-set the zoom back to normal.

Seconded. I’ve been abroad on holiday for the last 10 days and didn’t look at PH at all. I’m disappointed this is still a thing.
