Happy New Year.

I really hope you aren't paying PH lawyers on a daily rate... biggrin

any progress on the copy/paste - attributing articles, quoting people. It was first brought up last May, or has this just been put on hold hoping it will all go away?

Don't worry we haven't forgotten about this – I ask about it on almost a weekly occurrence. It's getting wrapped up in some other changes we're making so taking (a lot) longer to finalise and we're going through some changes in our legal team which hasn't helped.

We will reach a conclusion eventually but until then, it's as per the rules please smile I will update when we're releasing the changes.

May 2022 - welcome to the almost 2 year reminder. PH lawyers moving so slowly, or isn't it seen as an issue anymore?

I've been chasing it on a monthly if not more frequent basis but there have been a lot of movements in the legal team and my meeting to discuss it has been moved more times than I can remember. Apologies that it has taken this long, but in theory we'll be discussing it on Thursday, so fingers crossed!

So here we are again, another year gone, another ban for breaking rule 16 for posting an image from twitter this time.

Is it about time after 3 years Ben you just admit you aren't looking at this at all?

I think you’re wasting your time.

I received a 7 day ban for “advertising” (I assume rule 6). As I knew I hadn’t posted anything that could even be interpreted as advertising I suspected an account hack. As per PH advice I have emailed the ‘info’ address twice - with no acknowledgment or response at all. As I don’t want to out myself as a candidate for the “conspiracy” thread I suspect it is the innocent explanation of understaffing and incompetence. Disappointingly it seems as though anything that gets ‘reported’ is treated as guilty as charged without any investigation. There is no real moderation at all so I think the idea that there are a team of lawyers looking into rule 16 is somewhat fanciful!

Kudos and apologies to any voluntary moderators who do actually perform the role.

RR, I have looked at the logs and your suspension was not for “advertising”. Advertising is the first entry on the drop down list of reasons and it seems the mod selected the wrong entry. Sorry for the confusion.

Just look at it as your annual week's holiday from here.

The PH 'legal team' clearly doesn't exist, or if they do exist, they don't care.

Unfortunately this is out of my hands and with our legal team I’m afraid - until they can progress then the rules are as they stand.
